The SYFY depiction of the Bene Gesserit self defense WEIRDING WAY speed moves ARE MORE ACCURATE for future humans knowing their body physique and power thus all action in fight are INSTANTANEOUS and twice as fast as a Mike Tyson or a Bruce Lee. Showing the blur is like in Smallville when Clark Kent moves vs others with great speed. The people of DUNE ARE evolved SUPER HUMANS in many ways like the computer Mentats. So you are not very aware or knowledgeable of DUNE with your evaluations. ergo just YOUR opinions with no real objective insights.

JACURUTU!! Your ranking of these adaptations upset me so much I could hardly sleep last night. I have watched all three, many times and have read all 24 novels of this amazing story. Yes the 1984 version was disappointng and I was upset they left so much out and added some dramatic nonsense!! The costumes and special effects were cool though!! Dune 2000 was treated by you rather too harshly. Yes it did not have over priced special effects and it lacked the unnecessary cinematography that is really not required. Just like the TOS Star Trek it was made to tell a wonderful story. It followed the source material very closely and even used some fremen words rather well. The costumes were great and it felt we were in the distant future. It wrapped the story of the important spice with the Bene Gesserit and the all important spacing guild rather nicely. Kull Wahad you gave Mr. Villeneuve's version such a high score. That is so wrong on so many levels. The first movie was great because it followed the source material rather well. However the second part was bad!!! There is no excuse like creative liberties to deviate from the source material!!! When did Jessica become so mean? Why does she talk to her stomach?? Why did Chani leave at the end???!!! Hey Paul if you destroy the spice using nukes it will cause enough fallout to kill a lot of Fremen!!! Where was Alia?? Oh ya she still was not born!!!! There is no mention of the Spacing Guild!! Without the the spice and the navigators there would be no space travel!!!!! Adding things are dangerous since you could deviate even more from the source material!! So please lok at Dune 2000 and you will see by staying true to the story it makes for a better adaptation!! BI - LA KAIFA!!!

The 2000 mini-series is so low budget. Lots of Ren-Faire costumes that have no wear or tear on them.
