    Delay and Reverb: To me the two most underated effects by many. I need more than one in both cases. Thats where my old Digitech Multieffect RP 360 XP shines. It has 9 types of delays, 6 types of reverbs. Mixing them gives me some variables to thinker with.

    I indeed enjoyed the video so much. Great explanations and the playing, wow, that's magical. I just ordered the NUX MG30 and I think I'll go crazy going through all the possibilities that a multieffects pedalboard can bring. I'll definitely be experimenting with the delay pedals. I think that between the delays and reverbs you can create such a nice, relaxing, magical atmosphere. Btw, I loved the "hysteria" part towards the end. Thanks for the video, Kris!... and Thomann of course :)

    Hey Kris, what would you say is the best delay pedal to use if you wanna play 80s rock/metal stuff? My first instinct choice was to go with an analog delay. But what would you suggest is best? Love your guys videos Keep going 😊🎸

  • @ThomannsGuitarsBasses

    @ThomannsGuitarsBasses

    Hi Melanie, rule Nr1 is that there are no rules, haha! Use whatever makes you feel good about your tone. If you want to make that 80s sound authentic, try digital delays. Best would be a stereo digital delay. The 80s was all about stereo rack effects.👌 Take care and have fun experimenting! //Kris

    Speaking of effects, there is A LOT of reverb in that room. Are you going to treat it ? Is there going to be a video about it ? But the video is very good and clear. There is a lot to speak about in the effects world.

    Hey Guillaume, yes, the room is very big and lively. But not for long, we will get the acoustic treatment very soon. This only matters for the speech mics though, since the guitar cab mics are so close to the cabinet. Cheers! //Kris

    ? 2 questions. One, what is that guitar? Second, where does echo pedals fit, separate category or part of analog?

  • @electrolytics

    @electrolytics

    Жыл бұрын

    Echo fits clearly in the delay category. The two terms are interchangeable for the most part. Definitely an analog origin like tape echo, or oil can echos or other old school delay/echos. Of course many of these are digitaly modeled today. I think that's the guitar he hand built from a kit on another episode...but I could be way wrong on that.

  • @evanharnett

    @evanharnett

    Жыл бұрын

    @@electrolytics thanks I know echo is a delay but didn't know if it was in it's own separate category of delays. But it makes sense it would fit in the analogy category of delays.

  • @electrolytics

    @electrolytics

    @@evanharnett Yeah definitley. Some of those old school echo units would definitely fall in to their own categories. There were some unique designs besides tape and bucket brigade chips. Very sci-fi sounding or reverby sometimes. Lot's of feedback and warm pre-amps etc in them.

    Hey, thanks for the comment! This is a Harley Benton JA dij kit guitar that I built a few months ago and it has Mojotone P90s. Lovely guitar. Second, echo is just another word for delay. It's not another category or anything like that. Cheers //Kris
