The way the description of DLC is worded makes it sound like it isn't canon. Even if it was, it'd be in a weird limbo state. Due to the Animated Series being confirmed non-canon. And in turn characters like Bob couldn't exist, since they're deprived from the Animated Series.

@@conner4385 If I had to guess, Bob went through exactly what our survivor went through. And read all of Helena’s and the lore survivors notes. So he’s retelling their story with his own twists to the girl from Ark 2. For sure the stories he tells never happen, as the steam page says Bob tells his “own incredibly true adventures” which is definitely satire. If this isn’t the case I’d imagine I’d be difficult to fit this anywhere into the canon lore.

@@yeahbci740 Cause they're rewriting some of the canon from the games, and already introducing a semi-respawn system. Seems like every ARK has a version of Bob on it.

I think a small part of me thought maybe he would drink Morellatops water, which does taste like, well… THAT, as Helena described it.

I have a theory about Bob's notes, and it could be canon and even the story of our protagonist, at some point Bob ran into Helena Walker and perhaps survived long enough to meet the other survivors of the island, like Edmund Rockwell or Nerva, but he died before being able to ascend to Scorched Earth, he spent some time "dead" until the events of Extinction happened and he was brought back by Helena Homo Deus to face the challenges of the arks, that's when he revived in SE and began his journey, where perhaps he obtained the notes of Rockwell and Helena, from there he obtained enough information to survive, so after the Island he never saw them again as he knows them, but their notes helped him to survive, that's why he mentions Rockwell and Helena, and drawing conclusions from the notes, he confirms Rockwell's whereabouts and his aberrant fate, Bob continues his journey to Extinction, at this moment, where he saves humanity and Helena, seeing his success, clones him so that he can beat Rockwell in the simulation and the real test in the genesis ship, the end of Ark happens and at one point he meets Santiago.

Ooorrr… he was on the island and knew the main guys there. Died on the island, “respawned” on the Genesis ship, heard the stories of the Ark 1 lore guys from the player(s) from all the notes they discovered throughout their journey, once settled on the alien planet. Then, Bob decides to “retell” those stories he heard from the OG hero(es) of the ASE/ASA storyline with his own twists to Meeka. Assuming these events with him never actually happened, of course. _Buuuuut,_ if all this did indeed happen, Bob was just someone Helena and the others didn’t bring up on their notes, and was actually there all this time. He was either a prisoner of Nerva, or he made his way to the volcano and into the tek hall on his own, following them or not. Either way, he then ended up on the Scorched Earth ark by either Helena’s or Rockwell’s doodlings, or perhaps his own doodling, maybe even beating the Overseer before or after the others’ arrival and actually ascended unlike the other guys, and there you go. Unless, maybe those notes that had him, or his name at the very least, in them were lost to time…

I wonder if he will tell Meeka about the Reapers? The beasts that impregnate you and their babies explode out of your body afterwards.

The fact that all these notes had the animated versions of the characters alongside the voice actors playing them, means that Bob somehow came back to life despite being shot through the back of the head (spoilers). So I have a theory concerning Bob's revivals, thet could be a glitch in the system that only effects him, and considering his many future deaths are gonna be a running gag in possible future seasons, it's very likely that's the case.

Can’t wait to hear about Bob’s tales in aberration.

So my personal theory so far is that Bob is a failed survivor or that the cloning tech that allows "engramic matrices" to be pulled from the past can pull from alternate realities. Perhaps this explains how the animated series can fit into the canon, a parallel universe. Now generally these stories probably arent true. They are called tall tales after all and it could be bob claiming the survivor's accomplishments. Generally so many stories from bob and the animation conflict with the story. Here are those conflicts regarding scorched that i can pull off the top of my head. - john. He appears as a hunter on the island as opposed to the outlaw on scorched. - bob is hired as sherrif by Wali al aswad as opposed to john being hired by raia. - raia is described as a witch instead of a savior of priestess. - -bob kills the mantis after Nosti is sunk. In our story john and the armed people of nosti kill the mantis then blow up their nest. The genocide of mantis and collapse of the cave triggers the overseer to sink the city in the sand leading to John's death and Raia's ENTIRE REASON for becoming Wali Al Aswad. This is also when scorched earth gets its scar and wyverns appear for the first time- - Edit: ignore the last one I recently learned John in the animated series is a totally different character, and I forgot there was 2nd mantis attack in Helena's notes that Bob could help in. So a few plot holes fixed. - bob somehow knows both helena walker and she who waits. Who are the same f

@AaronOrdonez-nj9lz kind of, but not exactly. Santiago was a hacker, engineer, inventor, and military personnel on earth during the tek war. After the colony ship and arks were constructed, Santiago was brought back to life on the colony ship with artificial memories of what happened to earth. Colonist Santiago eventually ends up in the genesis simulation and later Ark 2. While Genesis Santiago is in the colony ship. The Ark systems spawn a clone of Santiago with his real memories of Aberration before it was broken. This Arkan Santiago built the portal that sent us to earth, designed all of our tek equipment, hacked Aberration, nuked the original overseer of Aberration, designed the meks and permanently dies on extinction. You can even visit his grave in the city, signified by a pile of rubble with a sword on it. Meaning that unless Bob is from a parallel universe, While he may know Santiago of Aberration. Santiago of Genesis does not know him. Same flesh, different memories, different people.

As in showing all their locations? If so, yes, the video is about half recorded. Sadly, since I work full-time, it is taking longer than i hope. If I didn't have to work full-time, the guide would have already been out.

I haven't seen the show yet bc I don't really wanna pay for paramount but do I have to watch it to know whats going on here? I know the basic story or ARK anyway

Not at all, firstly, these notes and the show are not cannon. So it has 0 impact on Ark lore. Secondly, these notes are all fake, basically. Bob is making them up and adding extra spice to make himself look good. So all you get from this is fun entertainment, that it.

Bob cant say he was the most important part when we literally reseeded earth and saved the genesis ship from rockwell, who would have killed everyone by the way

ok, so somehow Bob survived ALL the Arks. But seeing how he tells TALL TALES, he probably made a lot of it up, as he isn’t mentioned in the explorer notes, unless Wildcard is still updating the story. Unless they are sticking to the tallness of the stories, Bob probably was so minor that he’s just another random character that somehow survived all the bosses of each Ark up until Extinction. Unless Bob telling the story takes place on Ark 2’s world, which means he died, after all Santiago died back on Extinction, his daughter is also only seen in Ark 2, which further confirms that Bob died, and these tales are being told on Ark 2, and the tales are not canon to the Arks, as these take place in the future. edit: reading Dinamo’s comment, gave me the idea that Bob represents The Survivor, which you play as in Ark (with some differences like character and timeline), seeing how he is both in Ark and Ark 2 (he is conversing with a character only from Ark 2) he probably ascended from each Ark, reading all the explorer notes, then going to Extinction. which gives him his knowledge of the characters. (EXTINCTION IS NOT CONFIRMED YET, if it is confirmed, then Bob was sent back to Earth to defeat the King Titan, and was put through our Ark trials by Helena now in homo deus form)

So is this apart of the games canon or the shows canon?

Just to clarify as more people read this, it's like the notes. In this case, get them all and your level cap increases by 5 levels. You have to still earn the xp for the levels.

Also how did he respawn if Helena invented the whole respawn thingy when she became home deus. Is he just a clone of his same origins like how they resurrected Santiago all those times? And if so how does he recollected all the same memories, it must not be cannon at all or there’s a very secretive explanation for all this

I think Bob on the planet, Arat, where Ark 2 will take place is a clone of his past original clone self on the arks, just like Santiago. I have a feeling even more backstory lore characters may appear in that game in the same way. They did say it will have some returning familiar heroes, after all. As for Homo Deus Helena, either that was a time traveling message like in certain other sci-fi style stories, if these tales truly happened. Or, he’s just “retelling” bogus stories to Meeka by mixing both his experiences and the experiences he heard from the player(s) about their journeys and the notes they discovered along the way.
