    Basically the way Elijah won was to not engage during the actual rounds and then basically wrestle Nicky during overtime, if they have a rematch Nicky will submit him 100%

    It was wise not to wrestle with Kody Steele. He's great at using his takedowns to pass, suplex or create a scramble to back-exposure and his gas tank is insane. Nicky definitely could hang with the wrestling, but probably not in the gas tank. Nicky went out with a game-plan and executed amazingly.

    Most likely the triangle. My coach’s fav set up, you go for the kimura, making sure you opponent is focused on defending not realizing where your legs are, moment Ricky flops to his side, locks in that triangle. Also works from bottom set up kimura. I can’t explain it very well but ye 😅

    I just find it interesting when nicky is on bottom everyone is trying to knee cut or outside pass and gets heel hooked. But when nicky is on top he doesn't do he pressures and babie hooks and just melts into mount. Why didn't anyone try to pressure pass nicky.

    The craziest thing about trials, and no disrespect to competitors, is that so many people sign up that top tier grapplera may go 4 or 5 rounds before they encounter another top tier grappler

    @Springfield-eo8jl not at all lol that's what ADCC is at the back end tho lol. Was just an observation. If they wanted to limit trials they could always require some of these guys to win or medal at an ADCC open before qualifying for trials tho. Cause you see some dudes get absolutely highlight reeled and hurt during these trial runs cause they just shouldn't be competing at this level, yet

    @Springfield-eo8jl that adage only works if it's iron against iron. Aluminum vs iron makes highlight reels. It's not an insult to these guys, but you legit have the best in the world rolling 2 year grapplers, they're jist not rdy yet and getting embarrassed does nothing to improving their game

    One thing I dislike about some of the bjj is the just sitting down part… I’ve started bjj for self defence and fitness and love it, even though im sore as hell, I prefer watching them standing and putting someone down. Just my 2 cents
