The clock choke is a fast, powerful submission that has a variety of setups and variations to finish it. It’s a great way to attack the turtle position, and gives you options off of takedowns, sprawls and passes to threaten constantly. This video shows different variations for how to apply this move, and I hope it helps your game!

I almost pulled off a variation of this against a purple belt as a white belt. What @Michael Valdez said.

I love the detail about how to get the collar at the beginning. That's usually the hardest part. I also like how you mention the variation at the 6:55 of why you want to use this version instead.

Supernatural survival gear seriously has the best stuff. The only gear that doesn't seem to wear out. My rashguard and shorts still feels like new ones 3 years later. Too bad the canadian customs are so insanely expensive :(

What happens if the top person is in a starting guillotine position but instead of having a chinstrap, the top person has the lapelle? Is there a lapelle submission from that kind of grip position?

  • @KnightJiuJitsu

Not really, because it is such a gi dependent move. But I will say there are some creative and interesting similarities to some of the chokes I’ve seem Abel do like this one: instagram.com/p/CFNWH7niNtS/?
