All About Belmont University || Pro's & Con's From a Current Student

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I receive so many emails, DMs, and messages about whether or not I like Belmont and what my favorite parts of it are, so I decided to make this whole video about the pro's and con's of the school! These are my own opinions that some people may or may not agree with, so keep that in mind! I tried to be as informative and transparent as possible :)
Belmont University is an amazing place, and I am SO thankful that I get to call it home for four years! Just because I have some complaints about the school does not mean that I don't love it :)
If you have any more questions about Belmont, feel free to leave a comment- I will try my best to answer all of them!

    You mentioned car privileges...one of the things I’m looking at for colleges is that students at that college can get around, seek opportunities, and have fun without a car because I will not be bringing a car to college. How many students are commuters? Would you say students rely on their motor vehicles?

  • @Meredithgraces

    @Meredithgraces

    Hey Leah!! So Belmont is labeled as a Christian University and they definitely promote Christian values! There are always chapel services, all professors are required to be Christian, etc. But there are certainly many students on campus who don't identify as Christian. So, if you are a Christian and want to grow your faith, there is an amazing opportunity to do that here (especially with all of the churches in Nashville and ministries on campus)! But it's also easy to join a crowd/friend group that doesn't participate in anything like that, which is sometimes due to the music scene here. I hope that answered your question!

    For the past few years, I've been looking for a college with a good music business program, and I am excited and super nervous to be attending Belmont as a freshman this coming fall! You've actually inspired me to try and join a sorority this year, but I'm still trying to figure out all the ins and outs. My biggest question would be how much time does greek life take up and does it leave much time to join other clubs? Thanks and hope to see you around when I join :)

  • @Meredithgraces

    @Meredithgraces

    6 жыл бұрын

    wow YAY that's so exciting!!! don't be nervous- belmont is the BEST place to be for music business. hands down! as for joining a sorority, it really depends on how much time YOU want to put into it! every sorority has chapter meetings once a week plus other mandatory and voluntary events throughout the semester! it is definitely possible to be involved with other clubs while still being in Greek life- I'm in like 6 other organizations and can balance all of them :)

    Yes! They have excellent connections with other states and countries. They just expanded their East to West internship program which allows you to spend a semester in Los Angeles, New York, Washington D.C., and another city that I can't remember 😂. They have a lot of study abroad options as well. The career advisors are very useful too, so there is no shortage on opportunities at Belmont.

    There are definitely plenty of people that attend Belmont who are not Christian! You do have to attend some faith-based convocation events, but that's all I would say is "required."
