Great vidéo as usual, always super helpful ! It would have been useful tho to mention whether the verbs are always followed by a fix case or not. For example "Ich wünsche mir", it is always dativ case ? Same with merken etc, just to avoid some potential confusion :) Beside, there is a mention of "Trennbar" for sich wehtun (number 19), but not for eintragen (number 5). Did I miss something or is it just assumed that we should know by A2 which particle makes a trennbar verb ? (just asking as I'm currently A2 and don't want to miss on "things that should be known by now)

Vielen Dank 😊 Yes unfortunately i forgot to say this in the video but i wrote it in the description. the reflexive pronouns are shown in colors (blue for akkusativ and green for dativ) to make it clear which case they come with. And yes your are right. Sich eintragen ist natürlich auch ein trennbares Verb. 😊👍🙏

when we say: Ich ziehe mich gerade um. We are using akkusativ, correct? At the same time the clothes are objets.

Hi Luzi, may I ask a question? In the n°4, sich bewerben bei/um, you put green color for bei, means we should use Dativ, but why in the example "Lisa hat sich bei BMW beworben", you put blue color for sich (Akkusativ)?

The reflexive pronoun is accusative. Preposition bei is plus dative.

The verb wehtun has a “normal” and a reflexive version. wehtun (+ dativ) / to hurt Das tut mir weh. (This hurts). Sich wehtun (reflexiv) / to hurt yourself Ich habe mir wehgetan. Hope this helps.

Hallo Luzi, I have two questions :) 1. shouldn't the konjugation of ärgern be ärgerst here? Especially when we are using dich. 2. Mensch is Man in 3rd person singular, so in that scenario should it be Mensch ärgern sich nicht

Ich glaube, es geht darum, dass "sich ärgern" hier ein Imperativ ist, und kein normal konjugiertes Verb, so: "He du, Mensch...! Werd nicht wütend, beruhige dich!"

Normalerweise finde ich reflexive Verben nicht so schwierig, aber es ist mir komisch, wenn die Bedeutungen der reflexiven und unreflexiven Verben so unterschiedlich können sein, z.B. merken und sich merken--"to notice/realize" und "to memorize". Und ich bin sicher, dass man noch komischere Beispiele finden kann. Vielen Dank wie immer 🙏 Bis Ende Mai werde ich A2 abgeschlossen haben! Bitte sagen Sie meinen anderen Lehrern nicht, wie viele Fehler ich mache 🤐

sich anmelden is for a course for example sich eintragen is only on a form / piece of papger (fill in your name etc.)

So, when the reflexive verb is listed as sich etwas %@#&. Does the etwas mean there has to be an object? For example, sich etwas kaufen. Does etwas mean there has to be an object, like car in your example? Any help? Thanks
