Of course she was accused of so she didn't kill her friend instead she tried to save her, therefore it was a fake sin King/Harlequin (Sloth) King received his sin when he was accused of leaving his duties as the fairy king and didn't protect the fairy king forest when the demon attacked it. Harlequin's laziness cost him to lose the entire fairy king forest and made him to be the sin of sloth. But in reality, King lost his memories of being the fairy king, therefore it was also a fake sin Ban (Greed) Ban received his sin when he was accused of taking the life of the holy maiden and destroyed the fairy king forest due to his greed for eternal life and made him the sin of greed. But in reality, he was in love with the holy maiden and even tried to defend the fairy king forest when the demon attend to destroy it. The holy maiden gave him the water of the fountain of eternal youth, sacrificing herself in the process so that Ban could protect the fairy king forest. Ban even tried to regrow the fairy king forest using the seed of the tree and his blood which contain the fountain of eternal youth as a water source and constantly risking his life so he could find a way to revive Elaine, therefore this was a fake sin Gowther (Lust) Gowther received his sin when he was accused of killing his lover due to his lust towards her. But in reality, his lover was already dying and Gowther even tried to save her by giving her his heart(ripping off her clothes in the process). The guards saw Goethe rip off her clothes and accused him to have sexual assault towards her and made him the sin of lust. Although it was a fake sin, but as the story continues, Gowther also has a lust for human emotions as he took out his own heart so he would not feel the pain of loosing his lover Merlin (Gluttony) Merlin received her sin when she tricked the Supreme Deity and the Demon Lord to receive divine protection against the demon clan's commandments from the Supreme Deity and anti mind control against the goddess clan's brain washing from the Demon Lord to win against the other during the holy war as Merlin has blessed with the magic power of infinity. Due to her hunger for knowledge, she tricked both of them and the Supreme Deity and Demon Lord rained havoc on her home land. Having the blessing of both sides, Merlin was unharmed and because of her hunger for knowledge, she destroyed her own home land. Merlin's sin of gluttony is true as gluttony can also be referred to as extreme hunger for knowledge Escanor (Pride) Escanor received his sin when... No idea 😋 The manga never really reveal much about Escanor's past and how he got the sin. But this sin really is meant for him as his pride knows no bounds. Escanor is an extremely prideful man, therefore worth calling him the sin or even the reincarnation of pride, even though he never committed any sinful crimes(at least not in the manga)

The only possibility I can think of for why Escanor was labeled the Sin of Pride is the fact that Escanor broke his brother's arm while trying to defend himself; after seeing Escanor break his brother's arm with such brute strength, the king and queen along with the rest of the kingdom saw Escanor as a sort of monster, ultimately resolving to kill him before disaster befell upon the kingdom. However, it was thanks to Rosa (who seemed to Escanor's love interest at the time, considering his reaction to Merlin) that he was able to escape. After the Kingdom of Castello failed to kill Escanor, it eventually did get destroyed, just as the fortune teller had foretold. And as soon as Britannia caught wind of this happening, Escanor was labeled as the Sin of Pride. That's my best guess.

The nunchuck isn't Ban's sacred weapon. It's a normal weapon. Ban is the only Sin that still doesn't have his sacred weapon, for some reasons. (even though it should have been easy to get back since the reason he lost it was that it was taken away from him when he was captured prior to the beginning of the series. As such, it should technically be in the hands of the Liones Kingdom, but it is never given back to Ban. It's dumb.)

Well he does have one. He explained that it was stolen sometime in the early-mid episodes of S1. **SPOILER** It's actually an ornate four-section staff called Courechouse and was stolen by the Weird Fang when he was captured. I believe it was actually briefly shown in the anime too.

He was believed to have killed and raped the princess after he tried to save her by giving her his own heart after her's stopped. Obviously she was already dead! but seeing him litterally on top of her naked body where he had removed her heart and was attempting to put his own heart into her chest was not suprisingly misunderstood slightly.

So their personalitys are the opposite of their sin because they are making up for what assigned it to them

The real reason behind each sins being what they are: Sloth: King while smart he is slow to act and chose to avoid doing his duty Greed: Ban is almost singleminded in his goals so much so that he was willing to fight and try to kill Meliodas to get back his love, choosing to try and save meliodas when the commandments have him trapped, etc... Pride: This of course is the most obvious being that while normal Escanor is quite submissive in his Sun Grace form he views himself above all this but he also is too prideful to accept help at any time. Wrath: Meliodas, when push comes to shove, will stop at absolutely nothing to achieve and kill anyone in his way to try and protect his love and save Elizabeth from their curse even at the cost of himself and whatever race gets in his way without any regard for the consequences of the rest of Britannia. This is exemplified by him destroying the entire city when the previous incarnation as killed because he was unable to control his intense rage. (Which he continuously struggles with throughout the series) Lust: Gowther lusts for human emotion because while he has quite the stash of power he doesn't care, just like his maker he doesn't care about power only desiring what he does not have. Even willing to brainwash others to achieve what he views as love. Envy: Honestly i always saw this as not making much sense especially compared to the rest of the sins so i do not blame lord Nux for this one. Diane's sin is representative of her envy of her friends. First she is envious of her mentor for the power she carries, then she becomes jealous of the relationship of elizabeth and meliodas (she finally realizes that she never really loved him just the idea of him) she continually views others above herself and is envious of their power, confidence, and many other characteristics never stopping to look at what she herself has which does in fact embody envy by definition but definitely is a weaker connection that felt more forced by the writers in comparison to the other sins. Gluttony: For those that know her back story her gluttony of magic power caused the downfall of one of the most powerful civilizations in the worlds history by taking gifts from both the goddesses and the demon clan in order to achieve more power.

You misunderstood why they're labeled as a sin; it's because of a single sin they committed in the past, Meliodas destroyed Danafor, Ban stole the fountain of youth, King allowed the FKF to be destroyed while doing nothing, Diane was envious of the lives of humans, Merlin wanted knowledge so bad that she tricked the two most powerful beings in all of creation, Escanor is so prideful when sunshine is at its peak that he no longer related to any of the humans around him, and lastly, Gowther was so lustful with the princess that he took her innocence and killed her. The sins that they're accused of are what got them their tattoos and titles, not their personalities. Edit: changed committed>accused

i just realised that the song is treachery aizen's main theme, the theme is about betrayal and sins, nux taku went that far for meliodas his sin of betrayal and sin. this is the most effort i've ever seen on a yt video in a long time

You may be hinting this on purpose but when you were making fun of the sins for being the least representative of their sin, but I'm pretty sure that's on purpose. Like when escanor said "that is your sin of pride" it kinda shows they defeat others by using their sins against them. You probably already realized that but just thought I'd point that out.

Well, some actually are representative of their sins. Merlin is a huge glutton for knowledge, Harlequin has slept the most on the show, Ban always talks about being greedy, and Escanor's entire move-set is based on greed, and everything about Pride. Meliodas , Gowther, and Diane are the ones that are least representative of their actual sin and were coincidentally also the ones that were falsely accused of their sins (Well, not so much in Meliodas's case).

I just wish I knew how to make amazing stories like these. Seeing all of these great series like Seven Deadly Sins and all of the insane hidden bits and plots that come out later in the stories just makes me feel like it's an impossible achievement to really measure up to! T^T

I’m up to date with most good mangas and it’s hilarious to hear you mention the manga moments and yeah the Arthur moment was soooo cool for like 2 seconds and then boom back to sucking and I knew instantly that they hero’s only dealt with low level demons but thought maybe it had become op it was like the failed version of one for all

Plot twist sir twigs is actually Black zetsu controlling the plot from behind the scenes. DAMNNNN ITT KISHIMOTOOOOOOO

They were given their respective sin because of event’s that happened in their past. Most of which were falsely accused for example: Meliodas got his sin when he destroyed a kingdom (can’t remember the places name) after he lost control of his rage when Liz died Diane was accused of killing her friend because she was ‘envious’ of her power Ban was accused of killing Elaine, stealing the fountain of youth and destroying the fairy king’s forest King was lazy about his duties as king of the fairy king’s forest and did nothing when his kingdom was attacked Gowther was in a intimate relationship with a woman and when she was killed he tried to take his heart out and put it into her and when the guards arrived they saw his body covered in blood over the top of the dead woman who at the time was naked so he was accused of killing and rapping her I don’t know what escanor’s or Merlin’s but Merlin is obviously gluttonous for knowledge to the point that she would force her life to go on forever so she can learn everything I know this video is a joke but just a fun fact for everyone

i always imagined it was from each of them committing some great crime involving one of the sins, like when (SPOILERS): Meliodas destroys an entire city with his weird demon power stuff, thus committing a great sin of wrath
