I wouldn't say Queens bounty is too high, as these are more or less based on the danger the person is. Example being Kid having a slightly higher bounty than Luffy during Sabaody, due to him being rather violent. We have seen Queens nickname "The Plague" in action, which could, and probably even did, wipe out entire countries. Also that he can build laser weapons.

Queen also isn't weak. On top of being someone that has the potential to wipe out an army indirectly, he clearly is stronger than most pirates on the sea capable of using haki and with his own claim, he can destroy most armament haki experts with some of his abilities. Sanji is just that fucking strong with a hax healing factor that Queen looked like a jobber at the end of their fight but you know why people don't want to admit that.

I think Croc lost to Luffy for 2 reasons besides his arrogance 1. He had spent years effectively retired from the new world, so he'd absolutely have some rust on him without new world level opponents to fight 2. He was probably using a lot of his energy to keep Alabasta in a drought Thats my headcanon Edit: Crocodile used something called Dance Powder to keep Alabasta in a drought. I cant believe I forgot that

There is a pattern of Luffy facing people who have allowed their skills to rust due to a laxity in their ambitions, and forcing them to re-evaluate and improve themselves in defeat. Crocodile is one for the reasons you mentioned, but we also have: - Wapol building himself from the ground up to become more politically and financially powerful; - Lucci after spending years undercover and unthinkingly following the orders of worthless people reforging himself to eventually find improvement and promotion; - Moria after trying to abandon personal effort and attachment remembering the importance of comrades when they saved him (twice), and managing to crawl back at least to the level of requiring direct confrontation (and trickery) by Blackbeard's commanders to halt; - Caesar Clown growing too comfortable with his broken abilities, now able to cause havoc for Big Mom's commanders with ingenuity and invention; - Big Mom realising she had become too lax and comfortable as the ruler of Totto Land, deciding to take personal action and then allying with Kaido to properly vie for the throne. The major exceptions here are Enel and Doflamingo, and both feel like they have another shoe to drop (mostly the latter, but wings and gods are suddenly becoming relevant again...)

That is why Robin's was only 79-80 million - they did not want people to start to wonder why they want her. An imagined story about sunken navy ships makes her worth 79, but if they had then boosted it to reflect her actual threat after Enies Lobby, it would have drawn attention - making it clear that she was the focus of their attention, rather than just being another criminal that happened to have a very loyal crew to come for her. Similarly, if Luffy had been given a higher bounty after Alabasta, their 'Crocodlie was defeated by Smoker' story would have held even less weight. As for Enies Lobby and Marineford, we are told 'after your bounty hits 300,000, it is very difficult to raise it'. I think that is because so few Bounty Hunters would be willing to go after such high-value targets, especially in the first half of the Grand Line, but putting out the numbers helps encourage people to feed information to the government on these targets. I really hope we get to meet some of the people who actually do target these crazy bounties though. Imagine meeting an unaffiliated bounty hunter both confident and strong enough to seriously target the characters in this video.

Well, and Oda confessed that he introduced Crocoboy to early in the story. He also regrets, that because of that Crocoboy looked weaker than he really is.

Some people just don't understand. If Luffy can get stronger in 2 years, other people can too. Koby, Crocodile are just two examples of people who have the same "work ethic" as Luffy and are way stronger now. Most downplay them because of past feats.

Exactly, the only difference between Luffy’s growth and his past enemies is the fact that Luffy has been through a lot more. Such as training with Rayleigh, going to islands and fending off other haki users, fighting more Warlords and Top tiers like Big Mom and Kaido etc.

@@fresh5021 well but it started with a 9v1 to 3v2 and ended up with 1v1 tho. While Luffy did the most damage to kaido, there were others who did huge damage to kaido and also because of characters like Zoro who hold kaido for awhile for Luffy to gain consciousness and go another round against kaido or Yamato who hold kaido until Luffy not only gained consciousness but also finished eating meat and ready to go another round. If someone was watching this, it would make more of a sense that they would recognize other characters efforts too while fighting kaido. Also let's not forget Luffy has one of the most ridiculous df, the WG is most likely still trying to hide the truth of luffy's df and threat Luffy and his df posses by not giving him higher bounty.

I think it’s the other way around, they know exactly what happened, and want to hide to the world, giving all three the same bounty indicates that it was a collective effort, and that luffy didn’t defeat kaido one on one, that’s how a Random citizen would see it, 3B I also the lowest bounty they could give that is just above kaido and big mom’s combined bounties. They want to give the impression that the raid wasn’t a resounding victory for the alliance

@@angrymaniac53 I mostly agree, the only thing that bugs me is that new luffy's bounty showing his G5 which is supposed to be Nikka. As you know it Nikka is not only a DF but a legend of a god. So even if that legend comes from 800yrs ago, we know for a fact it travelled through time and had been spread around the world to the one wanting to listen to it. So in that sense, Luffy's New bounty should ring some bells in a lot of ppl mind. Once again I'm not a OP expert just tryna make sense out of this mess lol

That's true but considering what he's done and been a part of, Summit and Payback Wars. With those in mind the only logical reason to the "low" bounty is that they lost both fights and he retired peacefully but still has a bounty nonetheless, so they deducted(if that's possible). But honestly I thought it would have been higher, at least higher than King's or lower than Boa's.

The only wildcard would be Benn Beckman's Bounty, they say that the right hand is relative to the captain, considering his captain's bounty is the lowest of the original four, the fandom would riot if his bounty is lower than let's say Queen's.

I think his bounty is fine, from what we have seen of the white beard crew they didn’t seem too dangerous to either the world government or civilians. He also is retired which makes him a extremely low priority target for the marines.

I do feel like at some point in the story, Luffy will gain two incredible bounties of 4.500.000.000 berries (surpassing Shanks) and finally 6.000.000.000 berries (surpassing Roger), that is, if Oda decides to keep the pattern of raising Luffy's bounty by 1.500.000.000 berries each time.

Don't forget that Blackbeard, Buggy, and Law were all Warlords, too, and two of them are now Yonko and the third is tied with the lowest Yonko (Luffy). We really need to see Weevil, Moria, and Doffy. Last time we saw Weevil, he and Ms. Bakkin were surrounded by the Marines after the Shichibukai system was dissolved. Did he escape or was he captured? Last we saw Moria, he went off to confront Blackbeard over Absalom's death. Did Blackbeard kill him? Was he coerced into joining Blackbeard's crew? Did he somehow escape, and, if so, what is he plotting now? And last time we saw Doffy, he was the only prisoner on level 6 of Impel Down and said an assassin was probably going to be sent to kill him. Did that happen or is Doffy just in Impel Down laughing his Joker ass off at all the world news?

I mean, he'll most probably come back during the final war arc but i dont think he'll be that relevant anymore since he already got massive spotlight during the series. Plus, we know hes been locked in impel down ever since luffy took him down so its not like hes able to get stronger or anything compared to the others.

Katakuri is so "under-priced". Has advanced observation, awakened devil fruit, conqueror's haki which has the potential for him to learn conqueror's coating and stronger armament haki. All these are not seen in any of the right hand man of other crews except zoro. Possibly one of the strongest and most skilled RHM.

About Crocodile losing to Luffy; I personally believe that his weakness to water doesn't just extend to being rendered solid, but also that it either weakens him or drains his stamina like crazy. That would explain a lot, since he only lost after a protracted battle with Luffy which means a lot of time for that effect to build up.

The water did not weaken him or drain stamina, remember that only happens to df users when their bodies are at least half way submerged. Water simply allowed Luffy to touch and bypass Croc’s intangible body, like an alternative to haki

Queen was portraied more like a Sadist with how he made it a Comedy out of the impending Slaughters we see him "commenting" in both Udon and Onigashima. Combined with his utter Disregard to even his own Men he was Kaidos most terrifying Commander by Personality to me and well worthy of his Bounty

We recently learnt that it was Ben Beckman the one that took Kid's arm. Not only that, he mopped the floor with Kid, it was not a regular defeat. He actually scared Kizaru. He genuinely stopped moving. Kizaru did not stop against Rayleigh. So I guess when we discover the Red-Hair pirates bounties this list is gonna change a bit. At least him, Yassop and probably Lucky Roux are going to be sitting around 2 and 2.5 billion berries. The First Mate of the strongest pirate, the best sniper in the world and supposedly the fastest man. Just out of reputation and experience they gotta be over 2 billions.

You should wait until Oda reveals Dragon's bounty and rest of shichibukai because Oda currently in crazy mode and he will reveal everything in One piece very soon

I always thought dragon's poster bounty (if he even has one) would say DEAD, not even alive. I surely hope he will be one of the main characters in the next arc, it's been almost 20 years of daydreaming.

dragon reminds me of Winds of Winter. taken so long to do anything that pretty much no matter what we get, it wont live up to the hype and the theories. and i surely hope hes defeated and done before the final battle. because this story isn't about him and his army. its never been. its about pirates.

In regards to law’s bounty being low you recall he’s the only one of those three supernovas with anything even remotely resembling the ability to plan last I checked brains counted for a lot in what makes somebody dangerous. As much as I love Luffy and Eustis has is a bloodthirsty lunatic that’s a joy to watch neither of them are The type to think before they act.

Oden was also a pirate, so I feel Oda really needs to put a proud bounty for him as well.

i feel like many people miss the point on having luffy law and kidd with the same bounty, its not about luffy defeating kaido "1v1" that he should have a higher bounty, the WG cant let people know 1 rookie defeated a yonko alone, so the WG undercovers everything by saying an alliance of rokkies defeated 2 yonkos, giving the 3 rookies the same bounty, if luffy had received an higher bounty it would be like the cross guild, people would think law and kidd where his underlings like people now think mihak and crocodile are under buggy

Katakuri needs a bounty update NOW, and I'm glad the Warlords are finally getting their respect they deserve- so hopefully we'll be able to collectively realize as a community that pretty much every warlord was far ahead of their capabilities that we perceived them as having before luffy either defeated them or when they showed off their initial powers (ie. Doffy's power at his defeat was not his true maximum, neither was it Crocodile's because he either didn't know haki or underestimated luffy or got rusty with it so he didn't use it, or when the warlords presented their power at marineford like Boa Hancock- we weren't seeing their true maximum- even Prime Gecko Moria was throwing hands with Younger Kaido!). Though I want to reiterate bounties are just about power its about influence and wealth/territory as well, all of which katakuri is in full charge of currently.

I think Oda meant to introduce Crocodile as a massive Vilain in One piece but didn t expect for his manga to go so far as the 7 warlords were supposed to be the main antagonists and the yonko didn t exist. That is probably his way to redeem himself and what he did to crocodile making him lose to a baby Luffy which makes no sense when you think of it. He was just unlucky to be introduced while Haki didn t exist and when 100 Mil was a big deal all together

Hancock's bounty is too low imo. This is the woman who took down the *entire crew* of yonkou Blackbeard, commanders and lackeys alike except Blackbeard himself with little to no effort. Now that Big Mom's out of the picture, she may be the strongest woman in One Piece (not counting Imu-sama. She's an enigma). She also confirmed her stone turning ability couldn't be undone by anyone but herself, even if she was killed. Even the next Mero Mero ni mi user can't undo that.

I get why the average person might forget this, but I'm surprised someone like Ohara would forget that bounties aren't necessarily power levels (even if it's somewhat parallel) but instead threats to the world government, the marines, and the celestial dragons. That's what makes Buggy's bounty very much legit, as he's in control of the dangerous Cross Guild. As for Luffy's bounty being the same as Law and Kid, what I'M guessing is that there are very little people who actually know the power of Joy Boy, and it's not like Im is going around telling the marines to raise Luffys bounty as Luffy is clearly singled by Im as an imminent threat. Maybe Im could tell the 5 Elders who could tell the marines, but in my own head cannon they don't want to explain why luffy is so much more of a threat to the world to the marines or anyone else who's not in the 'know'. I'm guessing there's some reason even the readers don't know as to why Joy Boy is so dangerous, so it could very well be something only Im and the elders know about that absolutely no one else can ever know.

Although not by much, just Mihawk is a lot better than Buggy AND Mihawk. Also, I have a strange feeling that we're going to find out that buggy is actually pretty strong now. Obviously not on the same level as the other emperors, but maybe about as strong as Franky/Robin.

Thinking about the bounty system for marines put out by cross guild gave me a funny mental image that we will be tricked into thinking blackbeard has killed Coby, but he was actually just sold to cross guild and is going to get a cover story of leading his own cross guild impel down while there are other marine events going on that would get him put against Luffy and friends. That'd be fin.

Shanks doesn't have the strongest haki in the series, he has the strongest haki among the living. Roger has the strongest haki in One Piece considering that he was an equal to WB who didn't only use CoC but his incredibly destructive df as well.

Threat level is also considered. A guy that can cause genocides with one virus is a massive threat. This is why Chopper is vastly underrated since he can cure said virus he can also concoct one as well, not that he ever would though.

Bounties are not determined by how strong or skillful a pirate is to the audience (given it is the World government that issues the bounties) but how dangerous or threatening the World Government perceives an individual to be factoring different reasons such as violence towards citizens, knowledge on the void century, directly opposing the WG as an organizations, their reputation and affiliations with organizations. For example, you cannot compare Luffy's 300,000,000 Beli bounty when he defeated Rob Lucci, Challenged the Enies Lobby, escaping a buster call to Nami's even higher bounty of 366,000,000 Beli or Chopper's incredibly low bounty and Buggy's extremely exaggerated bounty considering their abilities.

I hope we get to know more about IMU in the upcoming chapters

10:50 naw that’s just straight bias. Luffy fought Kaido yes but multiple different people did damage to Kaido, and even inbetween that Yamato fought Kaido. All this while Kaido was using his own energy to hold up onigashima and with no breaks unlike Luffy. A straight up fight without any of that and luffy is losing which is why them being equal makes sense as all 3 needed help in some way.

Still Luffy’s feat against kaido and the powers he showed were of a much greater scale and potency than Kids or Law’s. Yes Its actually debatable if Luffy would win a fair fight against Kaido (though the damage argument is still debatable since luffy also suffered tremendous amounts of damage before his last fight against kaido). Kid and law on the other hand not only had to fight BM (who is at least a bit weaker than kaido) as a duo, but they still had to resort to outside variables to actually defeat her to begin with. There bounties (based on power feats, influence, crews, territory etc) should be much lower than luffy’s. Not only is luffy undeniable more powerful, but so is his crew (by far) not to mention the enormous amount of allies he has and the risk for the world government he represents (nika nika no mi, robin’s ability to read poneglyphs, his connection with dragon and sabo and all the things he accomplished through out the series)

I think the fact that some bounty don't actually reflect the character is actually due to the WG that doesn't actually know the truth, take Buggy Bounty for example or other Mugiwara, it's impressive to think that Crocodile and Mihawk are "keeping a low profile" , just imagine what their actual bounty would look like if WG knows what we know, or with other character

i think rocks never had a bounty. keeping in line with the blackbeard parallels, he may have also kept his head low and then waited to assemble his crew at hachinosu island with the davy back games. from there he would have (like blackbeard) gone full force out the gate with his plans. in the end there would have posters or news articles (or something) previously to document his rise to power.

Chapter 1058, page 6/17, second panel. Yes I can and do read the manga. That’s his current bounty and naming there (not stating vinsmoke anymore). However my comment is related to Manus explanation, which c/would have added more depth to Sanjis character / bounty to this point. Saying „not anymore“ is partially wrong. It’s no secret anymore to the world.

I like the fact that cross guild now got bounties on marines. now we can really compare marines to pirates. of course pirate bounty is a little bit different. there other factors like publicity, cruelty and danger to wg about void century. but still I am curious about admirals and garps bounty. and about imus bounty when world finds out about her. it must be about 10+ B if not about 20B

In defense of crocodile, his fruit being a particle lets him detach himself easier which makes it harder too deal with if you can’t get him wet, as you can see when he stops akainu in his tracks. And all of his impressive combat feats use his fruit and he likely is not someone used too close combat which got him his loss too luffy. And as we see in later chapters, it seems like the WG has been suppressing luffys influence, I think in this case, through luffys bounty, like 300 for basically destroying Eneis lobby? The first attack on a key institution that didn’t end in capture? Crazy.

He did “defeat” him alone. Yea kaido fought several people before but most of them did either absolutely no damage or not nearly as much combined as Luffy did by himself. + Luffy actually suffered way more damage from kaido in previous encounters than kaido suffered from everyone he faced before luffy. I dont think Luffy would win in a absolutely clean fight, but there’s no need to underrate luffy as well

I think it's just as simple as "Oda changed the direction of the power system afterwards". Haki just wasn't a thing in Alabasta and probably got only established the way it is now, because logia users were too strong. There is no need for an explanation. When you have a story that spans this long, scaling is going to be a massive issue. Most of the characters in the pre-time skip were unlucky enough to be affected by this. Oda already stated that he regretted placing crocodile so early in the story. He gave him spotlight in marineford for this exact reason to show he had way more relevance to the story and wasn't just some chump that luffy met at the beginning of the grand line. Everybody more or less has been "training" or has gotten stronger over the time skip, so he should be no exception.

Marco fruit doesn’t give him the properties of a logia he takes damage he just has super regeneration that heals him quicker than he takes damage I would give the most useful to Kuma or laws fruit

i think buggy bounty is high like veyr high but he should be getting a bounty like 900 million or billion as he holds ton of info being in the roger priates, best freidns with akagami and possibly knowign cordinates of one piece
