There is no substitute for pure talent....musicians at the top of their game....and Alison...voice of an angel....and looks that are on par with any Hollywood movie star.

No flashy costumes, cars, cash, lights, etc. no overproduced, computer created sounds. Just pure, undeniable talent. Something modern music lacks entirely.

I’m not even a huge country fan but holy crap, what can you say. Allison Krause and Union Station are absolutely incredible. Sublimely beautiful song, sang and played with heart and soul and exquisite musicianship.

also i just listened to the studio version of this and you can hardly tell the difference, these guys are a one take band.... no engineer producer needed, perfection already obtained. Such a tight band mixed with Alison's voice is something to behold!

Reading the comment above you, I received insight into the sad lives of modern and starving musicians. We should coin a new term for people who attempt to discredit talent! We shall call them "idiots". I'd love to see someone accuse Alison of "miming" at one of her venues. She'd respond with something much more intellectual than what I could replicate.

This is one of those songs you wish never ended. Bravo!

This video shows that if you have real talent you don't need light shows, big amps and special effects. This is just pure raw talent from the combinaton of instruments and the vocal. A true lost art in the entertainment industry.

I love rock & roll, R&B, blues, reggae and this is great also.. Just listening to one kind of music to me would be like eating the same meal over and over every day.. Who does that? Only someone who has no other options..

OMG!! the only thing more beautiful than this woman is her voice.

This woman could absolutely sing the phone book and make me cry with her beautiful voice!

Just breathtaking. And not just Alison's vocal performance but also that of the band as a whole. With so many acoustic instruments occupying the same basic frequencies, it's very easy for the individual parts to merge and become indistinguishable. But the Union Station make space for each other and create such beautifully arranged parts that you hear EVERYTHING they're playing - and they complement each others' parts so perfectly. Every guitar player, whether a neophyte or an old hand, should pay careful attention to this performance and how its constructed. It's so easy to forget how to play in a band when you're a gitslinger - but these guys never forget. Stellar.

Alison Krauss is so beautiful and never seems to age ... in fact she seems to get younger the older she gets, and the Band "Union Station" ... they are so perfectly balanced and tight, and when you combine the talent and beauty of Alison Krauss and Union Station... well ... only one thing can happen and that is ... just the BEST music your going to hear ... ever! 👍👍😎

She reminds me of sade..... You got Kentucky bluegrass on one side and you got the Caribbean Queen Sade. They're a lot of like no fancy tattoos, no BS, just pure music. Alison krauss has one of the purest voices I've ever heard. It's a combination of Dolly Parton and Leanne Womack somewhere in there, but her soprano range goes even higher. A beautiful performance. A song with strong lyrics, great musicianship and heartfelt singing. I find a melancholy edge can really lift a song, as it does here. There is also some very light humour here in the lyrics as well. A perfect song.

I have often thought of Alison as a rather quiet, maybe even passive individual, because she never blows her horn and has always remained humble.
