My dad is from Kentucky and his side of the family are country singers. I grew up on AKrauss. I sang one of her songs in the fifth grade for the school talent show and won first place. I saw her at the Grand Ol Opery when I was 14 and I actually cried. She is such an angel. Bluegrass is gods music. I'm so proud of my southern roots. Love you Alison❤️

every time I hear "Whisky Lullaby".....and she starts singing, I'm bauling.....she's that good, honey.......that good......I know that song word for word, and note for note.....if angels look and sound this good in Heaven, I sure hope I make it there for the show.....holy shit......wow....

Alison is very underrated and one of the best singers I have ever heard in my life and her music is so beautiful and has a voice of an angel

I'm not a country music or bluegrass fan but Allison Krauss and Union Station are the exception, I love the angelic vocals and Union Station has the perfect chemistry with Allison, such a beautiful combination, such beautiful music.

Let me reentrate that. I love country music and bluegrass. These types of music is my heart! This is my music! My love. When I describe the sounds they are the same. When I describe an artist the sound is the same. It just happens to be Alison who I was describing in this scenerio.

Country music is the American version of it's Celtic and European roots. Country music has exquisite middle eastern undertones, African Americans, Latin/Hispanic and Native American cultures have also added to it immeasurably, I bet if we all listened to more good music like this we'd get along better. One day, we should all hit comedy central, laugh at each other then go to a big outdoor concert. We could all cook for each other, tell stories and lick our wounds.

This sweet voice is the last thing I want to hear before sleep takes me again. If only I could still hear it in my dreams, I would be smiling .

Alison is really a borrowed angel - thank you god.

@@ceecee8757 I agree with you. That “Crossroad” is breathtaking.. I didn’t realize such beautiful farmland existed so close to Nashville. Just off camera to the right (from the perspective of the ext. wide shot from the jib) is a beautiful , old country farmhouse. They couldn’t show it because that’s where all the cast and support crews are watching.

Without any doubt, Alison is the best female singer ever. She collaborates brilliantly with singers of any musical genre. I've never heard anything like it before, and I've been involved in music all of my adult life. I'm 66 ,so that will tell you that I've heard a lot of songs and singers over many years. Gerry Farry.

Allison has the voice of an angel and it calms me. I hope that when I die and go to Heaven she will be there to sing to me. Most amazing voice ever in the history of Blue Grass or so called "Country Music" these days. Seems like Country Music left the entire Country a long time ago? Total crap nowadays. Allison is the Real Deal.

This conjures up a way of life that probaby never really existed but you wish with all your heart that it did! What wonderful music; so evocative.

She and U.S. are the best. Love their music. She has the voice of an angel.

After all these years her voice is still the greatest voice in the world. The Angels in heaven can't sound as good as she does. Marty Raybon said it best, back in 1995. "The LORD reached down and touched her vocal chords". That has to be the reason. I have always loved you, Alison. I always wanted to meet you, which I did twice, and have you fall in love with me. A childhood dream, I guess. I am now 45 and my feelings for you are stronger than ever. Your voice still soothes me to sleep at night. Thanks, Alison sharing your BEAUTIFUL voice with the world. If I knew what an angel sounded like I would think it was Alison... Her voice makes me melt..

I've been in love with Alison for so many years. I only wish, no I pray that I get to see her perform live with Union Station someday before I die. If I could afford it, I'd probably stalk her just to be close enough to hear her sing everyday. With all sincerity, when all has gone to hell in a day, I can always find refuge in her voice.

I fell in 'love' with Alison the first time I seen the video for Steel Rails many moons ago. Her voice still gives me goosebumps everytime. It's like hearing an angel sing. I did have the wonderful opportunity to see her in concert in the late 90's in Jackson TN. Absolutely the best concert I have ever attended! You were able to get right up to the stage for pictures (no leaning 😆) Here's to a long glorious singing career and alot of recorded music for us to cherish....

I think, but I'm not absolutely sure, that the train Barry and Jerry get on is at the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum near Chattanooga. The interior of the car is definitely Amtrak from late 1970's early 1980's.

Ah, it would have been so magical to hear them all playing together like that, just the raw bare instruments and her voice, no PA or studio to get in the way. No wonder she was smiling.

Nope, nothing wrong with me. My first ever country post. Not by any means am I fan of country music, but I love this woman's voice. And the few songs I've heard by Alison Krauss & Union Station I've really liked. I had a tape of a live concert and her between songs banter was so innocent and touching, she completely won me over.

64 Goat. As if Alison wasn't enuff to give the video class, they thru in "The Great One" to put the cherry on the top.

I love the guitar arrangements and mix. That dobro just fits in but shines when it needs to.

The video is cheerful and reminds me of spring time. Alison looks so good in this video too.

Started to listen to her as soon as I heard this song. Fell in love with it, bought her CD and played the heck out of it. 😊

She is pretty, just Down to earth beautiful. Lovely in that dress, and this song is good happy country. She is totally awesome!!! (Born in Cal, raised on country). 😄

'Ya know, Christopher Reeve was born to play Superman, Shelly Duvall was born to play Olive Oil in Popeye, and Alison Krauss WAS BORN to sing bluegrass, HANDS DOWN!!! Also, IMO, she's THE ONLY modern day singer that compares to Karen Carpenter when it comes to singing talent.
