Alina never got the love and appreciation she deserved because of the Medvedeva drama with her entitlement to winning the gold and everything having to be about her.

She actually does get a lot of appreciation. It's easy to get caught up in the hate she got back then and forget about the amount of people who support her

sadly her lutz edge is flatter now, but she gave us iconic moments with those combos

I have love hate relationship with Alina's skating. I love her technical ability (difficult jump combos, one foot skating, transitions, etc.), her attitude and personality. I don't love it when she got high PCS when IMO she's not that level yet. Plus her skating skill is not the best out there and she has bad posture (it's most apparent during crossovers). But still she is awesome and deserves better. If she feels that she cannot grow and cannot compete with the younger ones, she better leaves Eteri asap. Because she won't get the attention she needs when Eteri has other girls lining behind, ready to graduate to senior. The cycle is cruel and she better run away as fast as she can.

@Étienne Falcone I love Alina and I respect your opinion, but I personally think it's not the best idea for her to stay there with someone who hasn't coached a girl past 18 years old.

@Étienne Falcone I don't speak Russian so I'm sorry if I mistranslate your reply. I don't hate Alina, in contrary I hope the best for her. I don't believe that she can develop into mature skater under Eteri tutelage because Eteri has many pubescent girls ready to take over. Eteri won't have time or patience while Alina needs time and proper guidance. If you're truly Alina's fans then you should understand and support her.

Figure Skating Cow Panova is way more tough with her students than Tutberidze. As for Mishin he had refused take her in his group when she had appealed to him before Tutberidze.

Figure Skating Cow I think Alina does not need to change her coach. Even if she changes her coach, she will not get better. Leaving after the peak will not bring anything good. But I think Eteri is interested in Alina. Even with new girls - Alina still her biggest star, because she won everything. If Alina has the potential to fight, Eteri will do everything to make it happen. Alina might not have been in season 19/20 at all if Eteri had not held onto her. And we don’t know Eteri, or Alina, or how they training works🤷🏼‍♀️ Just my opinion. I love your videos❤️

her lutzes literally goes from deep outside edge to flat/slightly inside lol as much as I love her, I hope she can fix her jumping technique, do not have high hope though cause it is really hard since she is nearly 20 now.

The way I think of it is that I just ignore the prerotation and start counting rotations when they begin doing the loop, so when they land less than a quarter of where they started (not taken off) then it's clean, but more than a quarter, then it's under. Hope that makes sense. And the last combo looked very clean to me!

They're selections from the Le Corsaire ballet music! I don't remember the specific pieces though, sorry... but I think two are from act 2 piece 7 and act 2 piece 5 but I'm not entirely sure!
