We decided to post the DLC first since the story actually leads directly into the main game. The game was obviously not that good, and the story wasn't exactly the greatest either. But if you're a fan of the series, I think you'll have a lot of stuff to enjoy from the story. What they did do really good in this game is creating the atmosphere and setting of the Alien franchise. So much lost potential in this game.

I think Levy's voice actor is the same guy who voices Raynor from Starcraft 2. At least he sounds a lot like him!

2:01 I love how this goes from the stereotypical “villain is ignorant of character and dismissive of them since they would be irrelevant, and the hero responds with said character’s name” to Weyland making it clear he knows the kids name (even better than the soldier), he just doesn’t give a fuck

24 people died in this game 17 males 3 female 3 unidentified bodies With a runtime of 40 minutes, leaves us with a kill on average every 1.67 minutes Golden Chainsaw for coolest kill goes to Lizbeth. Sorry Andrews, but a first person Chest-bursting is very cool. Dull machete goes to Stone, as it was no way for a cool character like that to die. Very anti-climactic

Cant believe they made the Queen so dumb in the game in the comics and AVP 3 she is pretty smart and knows to survive she should be smart enough to destroy the ships in the game

No. I DEFINITELY enjoyed it. It DOES have issues (PLENTY)… but to me- they’re easily tolerable with the awesome characters (Winters, O’neal, Bella), Level designs (Chapter 5 being my absolute favorite), and sound effects. The devs were truly ALIEN fans who did a splendid job with the designs despite the tight budget and deadline.

Wow, this came out of nowhere. Its better than covenant. I read the whole Colonial Maries game, if this is the one from a few years back, was messed up by a few sloppy/improper code? This could have really been something.

I still fail to see how the xenomorph can "benefit humanity" in any other way that weaponizing it. What does he aim for? Splicing humans with xenomorphs? Yeah, good fucking luck with that (not gonna succed in ANY way) Keep them as pets? Even LESS chance of succes. Only thing I can see them used as is "attack dogs" or "Send in to whitter down enemies and then clean them up after". But "Helping humanity" HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.

I really like to see a backstory on Hicks and Newt. I never understood why those 2 characters were totally cut off from Alien 3 if they were some of the most important in Aliens.

They were originally supposed to survive. Ripley was going to be in a coma, Newt was going to be sent to live with her grandparents, leaving behind the coordinates to where she would be living at so that Ripley could find her when she wakes up. Then the focus of Alien 3 was going to be about Hicks and Bishop going to war with Weyland-Yutani after the events of LV-426. But one Fox Studios head gave a major ultimatum about Alien 3. Saying, “If Ripley isn’t the star of Alien 3, there will be no Alien 3.” And after at least two drastically different scripts. One about a prison planet and another about Ripley being a deity figure to a bunch of religious monks on a planet that’s somehow entirely made of wood. The choice was made to take the worst parts from both of these scripts and a microscopic part from the original war with Weyland-Yutani script and throw them in the blender to see what happens. The movie we got is the result of this freakish Frankenstein‘s monster of a mangled script.

So glad Alien 3 exists so fanboys can keep crying about Newt and Hicks dying. Alien 3 perfectly ended the series. It’s a great film and sometimes endings aren’t always rosy. They are bleak and beautiful in their own way.

@@bigsmoke5884 definitely not canon. Just give in and let the greatness and respect of alien 3 go on. No matter what kind of sequel followed aliens people would have still complained. Aliens is an extraordinary film and it should never be compared to anything else. Whereas alien 3 is an extraordinary film in its own way as well.
