Crazy enough, we never did this DLC when it was released, and figured with Odyssey out, we'll close all our loose ends on Assassin's Creed. We're also working on Liberation and will have that one out soon. Hope you enjoy!

Let's face it: *Ubisoft knows how to take a historical fact and turn it into a game story.* Despite several unusual bugs, their games are always great and incredible.

Well I mean if you keep using the same gameplay mechanics, and following a story from one perspective, there's not a lot of ways this can go wrong. And if you think about it the new stories aren't as inventive or as nuanced as the first 5 games. The story in a way is mostly written already and blanks can easily be filled in.

Ubisoft missed an opportunity to make a prequel to Syndicate revolving around Jack The Lad growing up in The Indian Brotherhood IMHO and I think a Creed game set in India would be awesome!

Woooof, intense stuff. Syndicate did not screw around when they made a DLC about Jack the Ripper. (And yes, Evie, claiming you won't let Jack make a monster out of you loses some of its impact when you're literally stabbing to death.)

Man, I came back to and bounced off this DLC maybe 3 different times over the years. Finally I had enough attempting to deal with the mechanics on offer (i personally, truly despised them) before trying today, one last time to power through. I gave up. Syndicate's main game may be a decent swansong to the Assassin's Creed of yesteryear, one I have visited and played through a few times, but I couldn't stomach the mechanics for this add on. Thanks for playing and uploading this, finally I know the full storyline, and Jacob's fate.

I just really love this DLC! 🤩👏💪 It's so damn awesome they made an expansion including Jack The Ripper! 😱🙏🔪

I really think they had their system perfected here. The assassinations being more hitman like was fun, while being full rpg just doesn’t hit the same notes the original games did.

Syndicate is set in 1868 in the height of the industrial revolution the smoke and the life styles meant the life expectancy was 40 the first jack the ripper murder was 1888 20 years after Syndicate was set and Jacob was 21 meaning he would have been 41 by Jack the rippers time meaning he would be the equivalent of 70 odd years old

Thats false. The average age was around 40/50. But thats due to many children dying which brings the average age down. Also people didn't age faster. So even in 1868 a person of 40 would still be the equivalent of a person of 40 today. If in the older times you managed to survive your childhood, and you where not dragged into some war or starving from poverty, there where high odds you would live to reach old age. Also the smoke was mostly in cities, not the whole country. And if you think our city air is much cleaner today your wrong. Cars, planes, motercycles, busses. We dont have as many factories (but the ones we do create a LOT of filth), but we have so many cars they more then make up for that. You wont find clean air in any modern cities today.

So even in less urban areas, the pollution is still pretty high- always has been, always will be... ... how are we even still alive...? Lol

Jacobs Annimations No, he’s not. That’s because if you read up about his granddaughter, Lydia Frye, it is said that she was trained in the Assassin way by her grandfather and her great-aunt. That doesn’t mean he came out of this unscathed. If you look closely, you can tell that he lost an eye. But don’t worry, he survived Jack’s terror.

The old fashioned police/detective practices of the time weren’t enough to pinpoint the true culprit.. and through time, he was unfortunately able to escape Scott free. …Either that, or there was a massive cover up, and the whole thing was swept under the rug so it could be left shrouded in mystery to the rest of the world.

MATTMANGOLD Origins was a great assassins creed game.

I’ll tell you what, I actually really hate applying a reason to Jack the Ripper’s killings, the thing that is scary about Jack is that he didn’t do it for any reason, at all, whatsoever. He did it because he was a sadistic psychopath, and preyed on the most vulnerable of society so he could act out his sickest and most twisted of desires and fantasies. The way I would’ve done this is that Jack isn’t apart of the Assassins or the Templars, but he knows about them and kills their members and outsmarts them at nearly every turn, not only to fulfill his wicked desires, but because he gets a kick out of feeling chased, feeling hunted, like it’s all a big game to him. We never know anything about him, we only get possible clues or hints as to who he is. His design will not be this big, hulking brute with a top hat and a sack mask, basically you can see him a mile away. But just a normal bloke, shirt, jacket, flat cap, very working class and normal with a small face mask. So that anyone you see could potentially be the Ripper. And when they finally get him, when Evie Frye finally kills him for all that he’s done, and demands an explanation for it all, Jack either doesn’t reply at all, because he enjoys seeing her so furious, or just says “It was just for a bit of fun, just for jolly”.

I will never play the Jack the Ripper DLC, simply because the real life story is horrific and the DLC should not have been made, especially utilising a playable version of the real world monster. Sorry for posting such a negative comment, but thus DLC should have been done better, or not at all.

I hate the way jacob was so helpless.....I was surprised seeing him like that. He was even running away from Jack...he look so afraid and yet he still didn't conquer his fear. I just don't like the plot ...because I was expecting the badass Jacob. And is like the just made evie the protagonist of this DLC.

Jacob relied to much on his strength, his identity was his strength, once he lost that he lost faith in himself, Evie has always been very tactical with the way she fights and moves, it’s like Batman vs bane, bane makes a quote that describes Jacob perfectly “ You fight like a younger man, nothing held back, admirable, but mistaken” Jacob never learned the lesson Bruce did, with age you can’t fight just strength as you did when you were young, you hav to be cunning, you have to gain an edge on an opponent who is stronger and faster then you, that’s why Jacob lost to ripper, to the uninitiated Jacob can smash anyone, but to the people who are initiated, he has to change how he fights in order to win

''Badass'' is overrated. Jacob was much more human here. He went trough a traumatic experience and he genuinely cared about Jack, probably like a son. You cant expect somebody to be cool and badass while dealing with that. If Jacob had been acting the same as usual here I would fear for the mans sanity.

im not gonna lie , the gameplay made me extremely uncomfortable .

I’d say he could’ve been a good and properly scary character, if he was just a smart, sadistic psychopath who killed and mutilated for his own pleasure.
