LOL!!! She's a cool little girl watching at 8 and laughing. I was 7 when I first saw the first Alien movie and that killed my dream of being an Astronaunt lol!!!!

Robberies, Gang Violence, and Mass Massacres have all happened in the UK without guns. Contrast this with Switzerland. They have incredibly soft gun control laws (and high gun ownership) and they have lower gun crime proportionally than the US and the UK (not to mention crime as a whole). When people want to kill/commit crimes, they don't find motivation from guns. They find motivation from something else, and then they use guns to fulfill that. If they have no guns, they resort to other tools.

@olbertus you're right, after AVP and AVP:R we definitely need something that will put this franchise on the right track.

Newt is brave. She was 8 and laughing at Alien. Alien and Aliens still scare the shit out of me in parts.

@Xephon212 ....I as 8yrs old in 1980 when it came on cable. I saw one glimpse of the "PROMETHIUS" ship and turned the TV off and prayed for 5 minutes to ALMIGHTY GOD to "take this fear from me" I can only imagine what the girl had to do. (carrie).

Sigourney Weaver is 100% correct on the gun scene at the end of the movie, the audience would have sensed a far greater degree of fragility towards her character trying to save the child. That was the recipe for success in the original movie, to escape against all odds, this time not just saving herself but someone else as well....

@ANGRYMAPLE I agree with you although I haven't tried this game, I know many great games that have decent sequels (Half-Life, Mass Effect, Bioshock, COD, Battlefield etc.)

Nope! Kinda looks like it in this video, but upon closer inspection from an HD source of the scene it's a couple of bracelets hanging over a cord/cable hook.

@VWgolfR1 To be honest I think the only decent sequels today come in video game form, the latest AVP game may be one buggy broken mess but it's one of the most loyal to both franchises. Aliens colonial marine is the sequel to Aliens coming out next year hopefully (It's been delayed so many times) but it looks cool there's 11 minute gameplay released last week of it.

@dejabu24 in that case you have to see them as soon as possible because after watching them you'll realize how much the last two suck compare to the first two movies. It's possible that you'll want to wish they should stopped at the second one.
