This is like the coolest story I've heard in a while!

I wonder if we'll ever get an amazing movie like this again. I grew up watching the Alien movies, the whole alien franchise has a special place in my heart and childhood. I'd always pretend i was a colonial marine when i was younger, running around and guning down xenos. My parents even told me than for 2 years straight I'd rewatch the movie every night before i went to sleep. I was exposed to the franchise when i was very young,at the age of 4 and my love for it never stoped. Thanks James C.

Yep same. Also, wasn't Hicks going to be the main character at one point, and no Ripley at all? Then they decided to kill him off, and Michael Biehn got pissed and demanded a shitload of cash, and got it. :D Either that or the scenario you described would have been way better than what we actually got.

I never understood, in dramatic sense, why Hicks and Newt were killed off at the start of Alien3. It made it all so bleak and hopeless. Why couldn't they have a malfunction in the ship, Ripley goes into space alone to do repairs then the ship kicks off and Ripley is left stranded. But Hicks and Newt will arrive on Earth and at the end of the story, she still has a choice to accept "Bishop's" proposal. Whether she does so or not may be left open but I couldn't accept Hicks and Newt dead like that

Promotheus was Good, but could have explained more questions that Alien held. Hopefully a sequel to Prometheus will come out and explain more. Bottom line, Prometheus Lifted the Alien trilogy.

Im not exagerating... i've seen Aliens more than 40 times and i dont get tired of it. Its an amazing movie even nowadays. James Cameron does this. He makes movies that people enjoy watching over and over and even after 10 or 20 years they still look good. Too bad all the sequels to Aliens were crap, and the AVP movies were pure garbage (specially the second one). I hope Prometheus is good.

Ahaha! Made you reply, didn't I? Plus I didn't go to see it in the theatres a year ago just I heard it was 'not so good' from a die-hard Alien (1979) fan. Me, I prefer Aliens (1986). Also because the "Ash-head talking" was so obviously fake. If only they had made his face look much more pale.

Plus (or a big minus) Winona Ryder is in one of 'em.

That's how you do it! Only complaint -- at the end given the big reveal, the smoke, the back lighting, how do you not say "GET AWAY FROM HER YOU BITCH!!"

LOL... the story didn't rip off anything. It took some elements present in earlier sci-fi films as well as pre-production designs that weren't used in the first Alien film. As for the character's decisions and actions... this is an epic horror sci-fi film... what the fuck did you expect? BTW... I recommend you buy a good set of glasses since you seem to be oblivious to the fact that it was a visual masterpiece. The plot has its issues but the film as a whole is awesome.

Actually the original script for Aliens 3 was basically this: Xenomorphs find earth and hide in the sewers under human civilization, multiply and grow then it pretty much becomes a huge fuck awesome war with Marines vs Xenomorphs in urban warfare. Instead of that we get a small group of offensive Brit stereotypes and Ripley staring at walls while getting picked off by some dogturd pretending to be a Xenomorph. Fuck it, I prefer Hicks, Ripley and Newt get to earth and get a happy ending.

I first watched this movie when I was 12, 9 years ago. Alien and Aliens scared the living hell out of me. lol Today it just makes me so sad to see what they've done with the series. Alien 3 was good, not that bad at all. But after that... man, I sometimes wonder how Fox could have let some brainless idiots ruin an amazing franchise with something as cheap as AvP.

Alien 3 is absolute shit, I agree. I thought Resurrection was alright. If you removed Ripley wanting to be a mother to the aliens, and the human alien bullshit, then I think it'd be much better. Just have Ron Perlman lead them. As for the AVP movies. Fuck, I hope whoever pitched those chokes on shit. Typical Hollywood taking good games (AVP 1 and 2), trying to turn them into movies, and just ruining the franchises even more.

AVPR was cool, it could have been better but it was good. but yeah the first AVP movie was shit, and Alien Reserection was downright horrible.
