Use spray paint straining bags over the roots to stop them growing in to the pipework, they works great.

Great informative video. I've got black and silver series and they are great. Good job 😎

Glad you liked it. I made a few errors in the vid as I didn't have the notes in front of me. But it's a plug and play set up, along as you keep them clean, it's super simple.

Thanks for the video, appreciate it. Was wondering what kind of lighting set up one would use?

@@LeeBlackwell-kt5fo well it depends what you are growing 😉 but don’t have more than 4 plants under 1 light and growth is fast in these systems. Short veg times are important

Rockwool cubes is a good shout. You could use jiffy pellets. I used to like starting the clones in 1litre coco pots and transplanting to the net pots in coco instead of using pebbles. They get great roots early that way. Just make sure if it’s coco you give bites daily. It’s very versatile.

@@hydroponicwarehouse-hydrop6991 Thanks for the reply mate so we went with clay pebbles in the net but it’s taking ages for them to come through is that normal? Can see why you would choose coco just worried about blocking the pump up and it going a bit minging

Yes but are they worth the extra money? Maybe not. Dwc should be kept as simple as possible. However the vsystems are very well made

def seems to need a bigger air pump for aeration, the root balls weren't that impressive there

Considering that was 6 days after transplant the roots were great. After 22 years of growing in hydro I haven’t seen much better. It also depends on the type of plant grown. Not all Plants root the same and water temp is way more important than air pump. A very light air pump does amazing job if temps are correct. My other accounts show some amazing things.

The ET80 pump produces 80L/m, alien hydro advises 90. Not that big of a difference. I personally would prefer a slightly bigger pump as well, just so the water bubbles ‘splash/burst’ a little more, making it easier for starting plants to root
