Alienation From the Christian Perspective - Rev. Henry Brown

Many have asked over the years about having someone who was a christian professional speak on the subject of how a christian deals with alienation. This is of course a very difficult topic. We have found many in church leadership tend to sadly not feel the need to counsel alienated family members even if they are in their own flock.
Rev. Henry Brown has been kind enough to see the need to reach out to those alienated family members and give them some insight on the christian perspective of alienation.
Rev. Henry Brown has worked for many years with children in various capacities and as a pastor. He was principal of three different christian schools and also president of christian schools in NC. He was also the director of Miracle Hill Children's Home as well\ so he understands alienation and much of what it entails.

Love the story about your Dad walking and praying in faith. When, after decades of prayer for healing in relationships, I realised it was not going to be healed (my mother who alienated 3 husbands from their children, died, still lying) I felt a failure for not having had enough faith. God kindly showed me that my faith was not measured by the results of my prayer (every person has the freedom to choose their beliefs) but rather, by how much I trusted His ability to heal. I knew I'd had full faith in His power, so He assured me that I had, indeed, prayed in faith all those years.

@@FamiliesDividedTV Thank you, yes, He is at work in all of our lives and He is the Good Shepherd, able to heal and restore. We entrust our loved ones and ourselves to Him, and rest in Him in quietness and trust. May He bless you and your ministry ... a comfort and help to those of us grieving the loss of our children and grandchildren.

Thank you for reminding me of who God is and what His word says. It’s been so painful facing the reality that the scapegoat abuse I experienced from my father now that he has passed is now being dealt out by my two younger siblings. We grew up in chaos and severe neglect. Our parents were not able to be parents. I thought I could protect us from them and tried to be a good big sister (even though we were fairly close in age). The sad reality is that in many ways my siblings have chosen to follow in the footsteps of our parents and I no longer have the strength to be the punching bag for the family. It has been with the help of a Christian therapist that I’ve been able to see that their behavior like my parents will likely get worse with time since they refuse to get help and heal from our painful past.
