It's so wonderful to see Alice Faye and John Payne recreating their screen magic in the live theatre. I love how little Alice needs to do in order to delight an audience. There's nothing missing in their high kicks during the dance and their vocals are impeccable. Two class acts!

Isn't it amazing that all these years later..and long after it's forgotten the first time around that we now can resurrect and remember the times and entertainment that were. We are the lucky ones.

It's good to see Payne dancing in 1974 considering he was hit by a car in 1961 and it took two years to recover. I wonder if he suffered pain while doing this show with Alice Faye.

If people ever want to tell me that today’s movie stars are the best, I will refer them to this and their movies if the 30’s and 40’s. They both still got it. Payne was a Great Noir and Western actor too. They don’t make them like this anymore.

Payne’s acting here is more natural than when he was young. Could be, tho, that his accident made him more careful.

I had no idea John Payne was a song and dance man. He sings quite well and this is a very tricky song to pull off. He even moves well. Alice Faye never ages. Forever young. These were real stars, not the "personalities" we have today.

I literally had never seen John Payne in his later life, only in the movies from the '40s, and I almost didn't recognize him here. His face just seemed different -- perhaps due to the scars from his accident. Then, at 0:56 he tilts his head back and to the right -- and there he is!

Ineffably charming. Alice Faye is somehow an enormously witty performer just doing a rather corny vaudeville turn.
