Nice video Stuart. That certainly brought back a whole lot of memories from when I lived and worked on the Costa Blanca. You are right. In summer that entire lower Costa Blanca is ram packed with Spanish, the majority being fom Madrid. Further down the coast you will find places like Ciudad Quesada, Playa Flamenca, La Mata, Torrevieja, La Zenia and Villa Martín. All very popular with British Ex Pats. It amazes me but many of them have lived there for years and don't speak any Spanish at all. Torrevieja also has a huge Russian community.

I prefer the area north of Alicante. Even Benidorm is worth a visit.

Are you heading to salt lakes and pink flamingos towards quadamar ! something you should see I've done that drive interesting to see 😂😂

There are the enigmatic boardwalks at Playa Arenales del Sol and Carabassi. Long and wide beaches with huge sand dunes and a special biotope for plants, insects and birds. In Elche you find a park with more than 100.000 palm trees (planted by the moors) and a nice city centre. Nice area, but I would still recommend to go north of Alicante.

Nice! Ive been going south along the coast from the airport on the N332 so many times over the decades. Costa blanca south is a bit rough around the edges in some parts around Torrevieja for example (well there is luxury close by in Cabo roig and campoamor) but the area is very down to earth with wonderful sandy beaches and still rather affordable over all. Believe it or not most holiday homes are owned by spaniards mainly from Murcia and Madrid. In Santa Pola the majority comes from Elche and it has an authentic Spanish vibe. Costa blanca north is getting a little up scale now except for Benidorm maybe. Keep it up its great to see when you are going new places!

Ahh thanks Stu for taking me back to where I used to live back in the late 80 s Arenales del sol shame you didn't go further along and see from the beach the Isle of Tabarka you can almost swim to it , anyway I want to remember it less populated and built up and the lovely Alicante so traditional with all the tapas bars and boutique shops great big fish market , I guess now mc Donald's and burger King will be dominant there 😢but great video many thanks

Oh ..by the way, you have to stop at Torrevieja. It's ok....it won't set the world on fire but you can scratch it off your bucket list if you do.

Just wondering, do you ever travel to these places with your missus? Or does she always stay home? Concerned citizen here!

Where did you read about Petrol stations selling dodgy fuel Stu ? I have always gone to low-cost n have never had a problem,

Glad you mentioned lack of helmet on the cyclist. So many cyclists in Oxford and so many without a helmet. I thought the people of Oxford were meant to be intelligent……..

Amsterdam is full of cyclists, absolutely no helmets to be seen anywhere

I usually see a lot of cyclists along the harbour area slightly later in the day Stuart and the racers out training head out of the city on the country roads. So they are there just not at the time you were heading out. The beach where you saw the first lot of campervans parked is the dog beach.

Don’t see you on your bike much

Two times I think you say things that no one understood… finish the story about the bad gas

Buddy, having a constant blurry filter in your video makes my eyes hurt. Doing it for human faces is ok but having it all the time does not make a good video.
