Funny what isn't considered "cruel and unusual punishment." you know like systematic anal rape as a punishment...but jail was never designed to rehabilitate criminals its always been meant to create free labor while keeping its housing costs at a minimum. The fact everyone is terrified of prison rape is just a fortunate byproduct for the wardens and governors.

Sonwjatbexcatky is the big difference between my opinion to that drug dealers should be killed and the teachings of the black panthers and malcolm x ? Because my opinion isn't being mean to anybody, because those drug dealers, gang bangers and thugs are not human. They have a choice about what they do in life and the choose to sell drugs that people get hooked on and it destroys lives. Kids get ahold of these drugs and they are hooked for life. Yes , people have the choice of taking those drugs and they make bad decisions, but they make bad decisions because they don't know any better. They see drug use and abuse growing up, daddy hits mommy , or vice versa, extreme alcohol use, and they don't ever see another way , just that one. So they fall into that trap and cycle of drug abuse. Whoever made the drugs in the first place and gave up their humanity to make a buck are the ones to blame. If we are going to even think about winning the war on drugs , we have to have total irradication. And whoever is profiting off these sales , white black , mexican, asian, etc, they need to get dealt with too. They are part of the problem.

We need to discuss how to *equalize the cost of living with the actual price of living.* _This imbalance in the system is going to hurt much more._ Lack of resources is to blame for most incarcerations
@brandonesteves432
6 жыл бұрын
Lack of resources? There are Wal Marts in almost every county in the US. That does so much for us, you have no idea. These men are behind bars because they decided to find different means to make money outside the system (most of the are statistically drug offenders). That has nothing to do with lack of resources. We have plenty of them. It has to do with lack of influence.

file folders, I never said it is the beacon of financial equalization, I was more implying that it's existence has almost singlehandedly lifted American standards quite significantly. As someone who qualifies as an impoverished American, I find Wal Mart as almost a life saver for me. I understand that it has many ethical employment issues, and I honestly despise their business model and how they take away from Mom and Pop store's customers. But you can't take away the fact that Wal Mart has lifted society with their impossible-to-beat prices and genius distrubution strategies.

The purpose of my club is to bring awareness to formally incarcerated students rather directly or indirectly who are trying to go to college but feel they cant relate to there peers or professors. Thus, resulting in higher drop out/ incarnation rates. The club also brings awareness to outside groups such as Underground Scholars and Project Rebound.
