One of the classics, and most rare videos. Be sure to watch it to the end, where the most awkward silence took place.

It proves the fact that bullying is treated as a non-issue by some members of the educational system because, the people in charge of teaching kids to defend themselves cant empathize since they did not endure it themselves... simple as that. So, when they saw this grown man get bullied and belittled they did not step in. And the passive aggressive reaction from the man brought the point home even harder, he did endure bullying and still struggles with navigating socially uncomfortable situations.

Simon S. Hovland Sacha apologized to many of his early Ali G victims, this is one of the few during his American run that he apologized to. Ali G peaked shortly after this interview sequence. When he perfected his character he became completely bufoonish and ridiculous, fused with no laugh track. This interview was a complete botch on his part, and he's admitted so. When Ali G was nasty to people it never worked properly. If you watch his 'science' video aside from the ending that's him at his peak, or politics and voting. The humor worked when he had intelligent people to whom he asked ridiculous questions, very cleverly disguised as 'serious' questions.
@patriceaqa288
2 жыл бұрын
@@Simhovla I love Ali G, and I think it's a tragedy that what 'was' a joke actually became a reality of culture in the UK. That's why I don't think the character can be revived. It's not a joke anymore, it's real life. Sacha is a genius because he got the 'jump' on everyone when this absurdist multi cultural London English was emerging. Now it's so commonplace the joke can't work anymore. It was by his own word, his hardest character to 'get right.'
