Algebra - Parent Functions and Transformations
Yay Math in Studio returns, with the help of baby daughter, to share some knowledge about parent functions and their transformations. Specifically, we use the absolute value graph as an example to demonstrate horizontal shift, vertical shift, reflection, and stretch. Transform your graphing, and your life, along with me. YAY MATH!

This is the most amazing video ever istg. I don’t even need to go over this, but the thumbnail had a baby and I was not disappointed
The baby has no idea what’s going on but is happy to be involved
AWESOME!!! I have learned so much from your instructional videos over the past 6 months as a 35 yr old college student. They have helped me in maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Thank you so much! After watching some of your videos on topics I'm currently studying in precalc, I have come to a much fuller understanding of the concepts. I just made up a quadratic function, graphed it, and then produced a transformation for it and graphed it successfully. I've been watching your, and others', videos and studying, and practicing for the past six hours in preparation for my precalc exam tomorrow morning. I now feel more confident about it and am rather excited. Thanks again! You're awesome Mr. Adoot!

Pls how do u get d absolute value on y
Very entertaining and also educational...wonderful baby
Would it be possible for you to make a playlist for geometry and trig, the way you did for algebra 1 and 2??? That way it would be easier to know which sequence of vids to go through beginning to end - simple to complex...? I watched through all of the algebra lessons and its been a HUGE help. Thanks for all the hard work :))))
