Algebra - Linear Programming
Linear Programming, also known as linear optimization, is a mathematical technique for maximizing or minimizing a linear function of several variables, such as output or cost. In other words, it has real business implications, such as profits and losses (aka "profit model"). There's a big graphing component, specifically, graphing what's called the "feasible region." We also cover solutions for systems of equations, which are the intersection points. YAY MATH!

I'm in college algebra 1 and you're the only reason I'm passing right now. I have to supplement my class with your videos. thank you so much for helping people like me who don't get math at all get math and not hate it.

His videos were what got me though Algebra II. Hopefully can help me through linear programming. My thought is math teachers should have to learn to teach the way this guy does it!

I'm in 8th grade algebra 2
I went back to a community college after a few years off. Used your videos to review for exams, ended up doing very well in the class. Thank you.

Me over here trying to learn as much as I can and doing review for testing next week 😭 he's the only person I don't fall asleep learning and doing review too he actually makes me excited to learn
Love your vids man! Thanks for the hard work :D best teaching style
I love Robert's videos - so much of fun & yet it's so well explained. But in this video I do miss his interaction with his students - the comments, jokes etc.
Thank you so much! Now I know WHY this is useful to learn, not just for passing exams. Never got to grips with maths at school but now I see the point.
This is amazing. I love your lesson.
I love your teaching style!!!
This explanation made sense. Wish you were my teacher! I am struggling to pass "finite math and modeling" with an unengaged teacher.
YO I've been waiting!!! for a video from you Finally!!!. Yaymath!!
You are the best, you doing it very clean and I like it very much, all teachers should be like you.
He lives!
OMG! I LOVE IT! My stomach hurts from laughing so hard. He does a great job of explaining everything. Thank You.
you are the best yaymath
you are one AMAZING TEACHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
My man, the math grade savior.
10:34 isn't the minima (1,4) = -5?

Hi Robin, thank you! Yes you're right. I updated the video with an annotation to reflect your correction. Thank you so much for pointing it out.
thank you for your help. you are the best
Hi. Can you please do one about graphical addition of vectors?
This helped alot thankyou
Thanks man very useful and interesting
any plans for pre cal - cal?
You are my favourite teacher
Thanks 🙏
you are amazing i love you!
thank you Robert
Isn't it 14:40 10
Thank You So Much :)
thanks so much
ooh cool!
Nice :)
So does he not teach in front of students anymore?

No kidding. i think every school needs a math teacher like him
I keep having the same problem with all linear programming examples that I come across. It seems obvious without the linear programming, or even graphing that you would want to pick the option with the most profit, and make the most of that which your constraints allow. You are forced to make 5 low profit cars, so why wouldn't you just make 15 trucks.? I am not seeing how linear programming gives any different answer than what is already obvious when you first write the problem down. I'm pretty sure I'm not doing this all in my head in an instant. What is a case where linear programming is needed?

Hi Jason, I hear ya. It's basically for when a combination of items would be the most profitable plan.
Thank u for helping understand this and have a good grade in algebra 2😂
HES BETTER THAN MY MATH TEACHER...!!!!
I always wanted to do manual labor, but now I learn that robots will take my job. I have to catch up on the math I did not learn. Just a little more and I will have Trig. 😎😎😎😎
So handsome and smart! 😋😋😋😋
teach me more mom
really not trying to be mean but my teacher, all she does is put notes on the board, she doesn't explain or show us anything.

But good lesson
Too many mistakes and ambiguity in the presentation. Needs to be redone. -1 is not the minimum. Choosing (5,-10) produces a positive result but has a negative input. An unbounded set can have a Max or Min, or not. You need more clarity about that. Probably too much complexity for a first example.
He explained well but really needs to work on his sense of humor😅
