I am attending community college, despite paying for tuition, and my math lab and paying for math lab, I did not understand how to rationalize denominators. THANK YOU for actually teaching! Also, you answered the questions we are all thinking but cannot ask in this day of self taught, on-line learning.

Your videos are fast becoming favorites of mine. You have been instrumental in several concepts my textbook does not show all the work for, or the "why" of the work. So, thank you for taking the time to record your lessons. I never thought I'd say this, but.... Yay Math!

I am an adult college student. First, I must thank you for making Algebra understandable, and bearable. Second, I have heard you say that people have requested certain problems. I would bebhonored if you could explain the steps to finding the domain of the following problem. The part that throws me off is the denominator that is just 21. Problem 144 - d^2 OVER 21 Thank you for your consideration and understanding in regard to this matter. Sincerely, Victoria Nye Brown

I like the way you handle questions, by finding out at what point they got lost and then repeating why you did that and what they should be thinking about. Can you teach a class for math teachers and train them to use your method? Most just do damage and hate teaching, have no passion for what they do and seem like they ended up teaching math because they failed at engineering and just need some kind of paycheck.

if you have a square root in the denominator couldn't you just square the entire problem to get rid of the square root on the bottom? also in the last problem wouldn't it be +/- 3 because of the square root rule of two negative numbers can make the same number in the square root (in this case 9). as well as the answer being 3i because the square root was -9 so that would simplify to I square root of 9 (to take the negative sign out) then simplify it further to 3i?
