Totally agree with what Benny said about the 105 series GTV. Totally ahead of its time with dohc and 4 wheel disk brakes and 5 speed manual transmission. Had mine for 20 years and won't part with the car at any price.

I agree with everything Benny said about the GTV. Knowledgeable engine, chassis, and suspension modifications create an unbelievable driving experience!

Am lucky to own exactly the same year, but with Grey color and brown leather seats.. Magnificent as it is..

I think the 1750 GT Veloce is the prettiest of the 105 Series. The quad lamp front end, the best interior, the most good looking seats, the all.

Having to justify Alfa Romeo greatness.....I hope it is just a joke! Cause Alfa Romeo made some of the greatest, most elegant, most sophisticated cars in the the automobile history. Period! Who doubts that or ignores that clearly thinks of Alfa Romeos of the last 30 years, those comnig out of FIAT production lines! Period! This 1750 GTV, like all Giulia GT series 105, is one of the most beautiful (and advanced for its day) cars ever produced! Period! PERIOD!

Problem is they were owned by Italian State and after early 70s Alfa Romeo didn't develop any new car. By the end of the 80s they were still selling Alfetta under new names.

@@Boa74 perhaps one of the most remarkable things is actually the fact that they produced some of the most advanced, beautiful cars in history WHILE under state ownership. Which goes entirely against the profit making worshipping of the last 40 years worldwide.

One of my favorite cars, Alfa at his finest, ahead of its time.

The ventilation is perfect - open the quarter windows! And classic Alfa collectors are car people - we love all great classic cars - Porsche, Ferrari etc!!

Totally agree with Benny. I drove the same car 40 years ago and has been my favourite car since. The only problem is they rust before your eyes. (Russian metal)

Too true Benny, I owned my S1 ‘69 1750 GTV for 12 years and then sold it, some 6 years or so ago, and for the princely price of $6.5K. Damn I wish i hadn’t as it always put a smile on my face when driving it. Still I can’t complain too much as I still have my ‘69 Fiat AC 124 Sport that I have owned for 43 years and my ‘69 Giulia 1300 TI, modified to Giulia Super specs and trim.

The car has not been designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the car has been designed by Bertone. Is also written on a plate, close to the front wheels.

Not true! Alfa Romeo guys are car guys! I have classic Alfas (3), classic Porsche and classic mercedes. They are all great - and different!
