Some fantastic points on display here. Could have gone either way, but it seemed as though several times at key points Truls was perhaps a bit too eager to end the point. Looking forward to seeing many more epic battles between these two.

I think Alexis might have eclipsed Truhls in terms of level of play. Although the matches were close, but Alexis looks decidedly sharper and more aggressive.

​@@user-oy9jr6hp3o Its more complicated than "weaker" vs "stronger".. Truls strongpoints are his offbeat shots (blocks/chopblocks etc) - where Lebrun is weaker. Lebruns strong point is his agression. It might be better for Truls to use a tiny bit more aggression. But in a game of pure aggression Truls is weaker (yes). So I don't think that would be wise either.

@@user-oy9jr6hp3o well reason being watching Truls in rallies where he doesn't stop attacking after the first ball he has more power and spin than Alexis. But Alexis has caught on to his game play but until he does that I can't really say Alexis is overall stronger.

@@user-oy9jr6hp3o Admitting something implicates its the 100% truth and proven. How can you prove that Truls is weaker? From 2-3 matches? Let them play 15-20 games over the course of the next couple of years and we can actually talk. Until then its just fanboi or biased talk.

Yeah vey true I think his frustrations played against him. I also think Alexis was very nervous too. When you know how important it is to be relaxed to play high quality table tennis you can expect future even crazier rallies once they get used to play each other. And I can bet there are going to be a lot of those future encounters between these two wonder kids

Truls may want to do more placement control...Alexis is younger and more aggressive..Truls' strength is the game experience, he may want to leverage that more..more changing pace and ball placement variations rather than direct looping exchanges..

Alexis is the real deal who will frustrate Truls for a long time.

Hmmm, Truls really did lose that match. Still cant believe it after watching it for the second time on different days. He was ahead but then lost because of his mentality / frustration / anger. Also missed too many forehand shots. Alexis was more consistent, more aggressive and won most of the rallies. Well fought

Truls MOREGARD is not top 10 player ,he depend on score of 2021 world championship too much

Ofc he is a Top 10 player. He just outclasses every European player besides Jorgic and the Lebrun brothers and can compete with the Top Chinese as the last game with FZD showed. He isn't in control of his temper and he is very inconsistent because of this but imo he has the biggest potential of all non chinese players at the moment. The question is if he can improve his weaknesses and control his strength which are his creativity and unusual shots.
