A powerful lesson we can learn from Alexander is to face our own obstacles with determination, focus on solutions, and cultivate strong connections with those around us. As Ryan Holiday suggests in "The Obstacle is the Way," setbacks have the potential to propel us forward when approached with the right mindset. Let's all be inspired by Alexander's relentless pursuit of greatness and strive to become the best version of ourselves! 💪🌏

Yup. He was built on a foundation of greatness that very few would know how to take control of. He could have easily let his ego or fortune and more other factors affect how he brought himself up but instead he kept his mind and ambition ahead of his emotions and let his instincts and mind expand on what he can learn from and apply and take things like a stepping stone even further towards the path he paved his own way to. Literally a 1 in 1 million person who had greatness set ahead of him before he even had goals set in front of him. It just goes to show how great and true someone can be with such conviction and unshakable belief in oneself to achieve the status of legend

After the Great Macedonian he was poisoned, near the end of his life, his Generals, standing around his death bed, asked him who should inherit his empire? His last words were: “The strongest”. After which General Ptolemy said “Rather than our armies fight amongst ourselves, let’s divide the empire amongst ourselves logically.” Ptolemy, the strongest General and best friend of Alexander, took Egypt, starting his own dynasty which ended three centuries later with the death of Cleopatra.

I appreciate this channel so much. Magnificent histories!!! Plato taught Aristole, and Aristotle taught Alexander the Great. Theophrastrus, in his comparison of bad acts- such as a one would make in a accordance with common notions of mankind- says, like a true philosopher, that the offences which are committed through desire are more blameable than those which are committed through anger. For he is excited by anger seems to turn away from reason with a certain pain and unconscious contraction; but he offends through desire being overpowered by pleasure, seems to be more manner more interperate and more womanish in his offences. Rightly then, and in a way of philosophy, he said that the offence which is commited with pleasure is more blameable than the that which is commited with pain; and on the whole the one more like a person who has been first wronged and through pain is compelled to be anger; but the other is moved by his own impulse to do wrong, being carried towards doing something by desire.

💔❤❤ Every setback contains the potential for growth & transformation; we can use our obstacles as vehicles to propel us forward. -The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday .. Lead from the front. The soldiers erupted in a deafening chorus of cheers & applause; moved by their leader's selfless gesture. For Alexander, there was no separation between him & his men. He wd endure the same hardships & suffer alongside them; united in their pursuit of victory. Without the unwavering support of his loyal soldiers, he recognized that his success wd have been impossible to achieve .. As a result, he made every effort to cultivate a strong connection with them. In battles, he boldly put himself in harm's way; reminding his troops that they weren't alone. He created a sacred bond that fostered unbeatable teamwork; he & his soldiers moved as a cohesive unit .. Under the moon's gentle glow, Olympias wd soothe her child to sleep with prophetic whispers of his magnificent fate. She claimed her son was conceived by Zeus; when a lightning bolt struck her belly .. He refused to accept any task as impossible; even when those around him had already given up. This unwavering confidence allowed him to focus on solutions. When faced with overwhelming odds; such as being outnumbered 6 to 1 at the battle of Issus, he remained undaunted & found a way to emerge victorious .. He had un unshakeable belief in his own abilities that allowed him to find a way out of even the most dire situations. Instilled in him by his mother, this deep-seated confidence was further bolstered by his supposed divine lineage. He was after all, the offspring of a god. Free from the shackles of self-doubt, Alexander was able to act with unwavering courage and followed his instincts with complete conviction. -Alexander the Great's Unbeatable Mindset, RedFrost Motivation 💔 ❤❤

The Gedrosian Desert is probably a bad example - yes he was courageous - as it seems he took his Army through it as revenge for them not wanting to continue his conquests.
