He just knows he has a phenomenal shot, so if he has a look, in most cases the best chance for his team to get a goal is if he lets it fly. Different players, different eras, both great. But I’d take Ovi in his prime

Я думаю, что если он не успеет и ему не хватит около 10-15 шайб или меньше, то они могли бы договориться с Вашингтоном о минимальном контракте на один сезон. Чтобы платежку не забивать, и чтобы дать еще время для Сани на то, чтобы побить рекорд Грецки.

@@kovrikl Единственной проблемой может стать сам Ови. Он уже сказал Леонсису и команде, что, не смотря на важность рекорда, он не собирается и не будет докатывать его в 3-4 звене или только на большинствах, что хочет приносить реальную пользу команде, а не быть пятым колесом и обузой. И что как только он не сможет эту пользу приносить - он уйдет. Так что единственное, что может помешать, - это травмы или возраст, который неожиданно накатит на него. Но пока не похоже, что такое произойдет в ближайшие 2-3года.

What amazes about Ovechkin is obviously the shot and goals but also his durability. Ovi has always played a physical game and he rarely gets hurt. He is basically a linebacker on skates.

The average league performance after 2005 (when Ovi joined the NHL) is significantly lower than in the 1980s and early 1990s. Gordie Howe has been my all time great since back in the 60's and watching him play at Olympia stadium in Detroit. But there is no better player I'd rather see move past Gordie other than Alex Ovechkin. A tremendous and domineering hockey player whose talents are out of this world. I wish Gordie could have been there for #802.

He's 37, hasn't slowed down at all, really, and has been healthy his entire career. If he continues the way he has, he's going to beat Gretzky. And he's the type of player to not retire until he does. He'll be like Jagr and Chara. Playing until he absolutely can't.

The level of class shown by teams and fanbases during this march to 802 has been off the charts. Its the kind of thing that gives you hope for the world. A handshake line for a regular season GOAL? I don't care if its history. That is the epitome of class and sportsmanship. The business and showbiz "entertainment" of the NHL makes me not want to watch anymore. Moments like this remind me why I fell in love with the game to begin with.

у Гретцки самого российские корни. Никто по этой теме заморачиваться не будет. Политика и деньги у американцев по особому связаны)) Но НХЛ с приходом профи со всего мира и изменением правил стала очень сложной лигой. И для подержания интереса тут нужны новые рекорды, новые звезды и т.п. Я даже думаю, что если до 40 лет не дойдет до рекорда по здоровью, то его тупо до 45 подпишут и будут выпускать в большинстве на гол. Этот и следующий сезоны покажут, насколько 900 реально

Gordie Howe also had 174 goals in the WHA, so actually 975 pro goals of which only 801 occured in the NHL. The WHA and the NHL merged in 1979. The current NHL Stanley Cup Champions was originally a WHA team; the Quebec Nordiques/Colorado Avalanche franchise...

Продлевать будут по-любому чтобы за тысячу шагнул...последний год по контракту он уже будет играть в статусе первого номера...скорее всего в начале 2025 года уже 900 будет!

His team needs to understand that he wants to earn these next milestone goals, he clearly didn't want the easy empty net goal despite it being his record breaking 802. He wants them on merit.

Думаю в будущем 800 голов и более, может забит Коннор Макдэвид. Поздравляю Овечкина действительно легенда хоккея! Побить по голом самого "Мистера хоккея" Горди Хоу дорогого стоит. Остался один рекорд по голом в НХЛ побить Овечкину, и Народ вы конечно знаете... Уэйн Гретцки!!!

для этого ему 11 сезонов подряд надо кидать минимум по 50, а он еще ни разу в карьере этого не делал

Только если до 40 играть будет, у него результативность значительно хуже чем у Ови, при этом он сейчас в самом расцвете и ещё не понятно как он будет играть в 30.

Восьмой сезон и 269 голов на данный момент у него....По голам - не думаю,что он 800 сможет,а вот очков в сумме очень много набьёт! 763 их на данный момент...
