De Minaur played superlative, but rafa's mentality is unstoppable...
This match was just phenomenal.....Alex played unbelievably good in the first 2 sets.....He was on fire that day.....Rafa’s experience of handling such moments proved crucial and he could turn the tide...

The loverboys of Rafa projecting their desire to get on their knees for Rafa onto next gen players. Disgusting but not surprising. Every video is a new low for them. Even worse than Federer and Djokovic loverboys by far.

One of the best examples of Nadal withstanding an opponent absolutely redlining for more than an hour. He believes that such a level just will not last an entire match, the opponent will start to miss and have doubts, and the tide will turn. He's almost always right. Only Djokovic and Federer have 'base level' tennis that can beat him. Everyone else has to go God mode and sustain it.

De Minaur´s forehand was on fire and Rafa still managed to stay in the game AND win it! what a beast

Ok I’m only half way through this .... and I’m in awe.... gosh darn!!!! I’ve missed tennis. And if this is any indication of this year. Well I can’t wait. This was top grade high class playing. And I love it.!!! Thank you for posting this. Or I wouldn’t have got to see it....
This is the perfect example of whats separates very good players from great ones. They almost always find that little bit extra to get themselves over the line.

I wonder what Alex can learn from this match. It's nearly impossible to redline his game for a whole match but that was the only tactic working against Rafa. I guess he just needs to pick his moments better and save energy when needed.

Might be good enough to win the ATP Finals one day 😉
I never thought Alex had a chance against Rafa because Nadal is the worst rival posible for someone like Alex, Rafa is fast enough, with a great defense and with way more offensive weapons, but i never watched De Miñaur playing that well. If he is able to play at that level consistently he could be able of great things
When the big three retire, and one is named the GOAT (or all three), we will have hours of entertainment reading through all the debates in KZread comment sections!! LOL

De minaur in Australia is something else🤯
De Minaur was unconcious for the first 2 sets and still lost that's crazy
what a brilliant game that was...
What kind of head do you need to comeback from the first 2 sets? Such a strong mind RAFA has. It's inspiring, really. 😟
Wow, this guy is GOOD
😯😶 impressionant!!! 💥💥💥
4:07 that slide was beautiful. And holy shit, Alex started with so much confidence. And as you can see in 3:30 he was so into it it's fucking scary On the other hand, Nadal is specialized in the these kind of points: 7:29. The type of points that have the potential to castrate his opponent, sometimes not just figuratively haha
And people called this competition Mickey Mouse. The way Nadal celebrated and the way the top players embraced this means this tournament is here to stay. Who knows, this could even become one of the most prestigious event outside the 4 grand slams in 10, 15 years time!

Imagine when he gets old, speed will no longer be his weapon, will be hard for him to stay competitive.
So difficult for this nex gen players to break into this top guys, just the way Roger did, Rafa came in,then djokovic since then this guy's has just hold this positions to them selfs but they break into that ranks so young
In my opinion, Rafa should beat Alex in straights this year, as I guess Rafa will be fresher than last year, but we'll see 💪
De minaur's biggest weapon is his speed but that can also be a weakness considering players get him running a lot more than they do
Perfect example of good vs great and player vs legend
Tennis legend vs young legend
Im just now seeing this, but this has to be the best tennis ive ever seen sent against a top player....from, whoever...
Whoa. Rarely seen Nadal so dominated over one set. It's like de Minaur had found the kryptonite to Nadal's play with exceptional court coverage and great down the line shots.

Demon is going to have a great season this year
I think De Minaur has incredible potential however it’s clear that he still has a lot to go
Change the title to De Minaur's highlights because basically every clip was him winning a point
It's just funny to watch an older wiser player beat a new guy. Rafa tought Alex a lesson in this match.
That's a shame to play like that and run out of gas.
This is just like me whenever I choke a match lol.
De Minaur is an Amateur and Nadal is a Professional
10:54 Nadal puts his hand in his sweaty hair then shakes the umpire’s head but I still love him
Is Novak still the best? What will happen this year? I’m sad there was no Wimbledon last year. Can RAFA win two slams this year?!?!
De Minaur still has a long (mental) road to go and Rafa Nadal is a great expert on that. Alex de Minaur has a lot of energy left over, but it is little capitalized by a mental power, By now, he should work on that and if he does, we will see a very versatile super tennis player, fast, powerful and with impressive mental control. Meanwhile, the Big3 will be in control of each tournament with his tennis qualities. IMHO!🎾🤷🏻♂️😉👌🏻
9:41 Nadal is good at that backhand twirl thing
For a brief moment I thought this was 2021 edition but nice match though

3:27 Terrified Kyrgios
I just want to see the number of winners from de Minaur in this match
Nadal is Pure Class.....
That kid thought that he already beat Nadal, and then Rafa says hii. Jesus!!
So you're saying De Minaur didn't win 6-0, 6-0 based on these highlights?
Imagine if de minaur had isners serve lol
Nadal is an absolute beast.. it takes lot more than a good day to beat him
