Alden Indy Transformation

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

These Alden Indy boots are a classic but we changed the style a bit. These come with 270degree welt and we changed the to 360 degree welt. All eyelets and speed hooks were replaced with solid brass. New split welt with blue stitching. Also changed the toe stitching to blue. Added JR soles and JR heel blocks. Added GTO sole guards and heels to finalize the deal.

I could watch videos of you strictly working on Alden Indys. I’m obsessed with these boots, i own 2 pair. This particular repair is INSANE! Wow, the finished boot is probably the slickest pair of boots I’ve ever seen. I love your work.

Steve was miraculously able to change a Nick’s Falcon boot from a 10.5 to a 10 for me. He sewed a piece of leather into the heel. He mirrored the existing stitching on the boot, so the change is unnoticeable visually. I went from a boot that was always slipping in the heel to one that fits perfectly. I wear them all the time now. He is a magician.

I love all your videos Steve, but this one definitely now has a top spot on my "favorites" list. What a complete re-do! This customer truly loves these boots--he had you pull out all the stops to restore them to better than new. And although I would have preferred red laces and sole detail (red being my favorite color and all), I think the blue looks great. Excited to see your next videos, especially the ones featuring the contest winners!

I just got a pair of Alden 405 F2s from the Shoe Mart and absolutely love them! As someone with 3E wide AND fast feet, these boots are the boots I never knew i needed. I work in a mix of office and warehouse settings so I genuinely need something that can hang along as workware and office-ish shoes. Vintage F. Imperaisl have been my go to but now I have these for my rotation. Id definitely recommend these boots. The price is steep but well worth the investment as long you add heel caps!

Years ago I worked for Brown & Root Corporation at an Industrial Plant and we used a tool similar and called it a "pea shooter". Essentially for the same purpose, to place nails inside the tube for hard to reach areas, then would slide the inside tube back and forth until the nail was driven. Regardless, the name provided by others in your line of work seems right on par. Thx for sharing your videos, love watching you work and the final product. Those are a lovely pair of boots. I've always loved Alden's ;)
