Alcohol Ink Painted Toggle Pendant
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this rather long (sorry) video, I demonstrate how I paint with Alcohol Inks on cured and sanded Polymer Clay. I'm using Premo clay, to make a pendant that doubles as a toggle clasp. I'll show how to make the toggle bar from a piece of 12 gauge copper wire, and assemble this unusual style necklace. Be sure to check out Ginger Davis Allman's great article on Alcohol Inks posted on The Blue Bottle Tree website thebluebottletree.com/using-a... It will answer a lot of questions, and while you're there, you'll find answers to many more questions about Polymer Clay. The inks I used were Adirondack brand, in Lettuce, Butterscotch, Stream and sailboat Blue. For a great tutorial on curing Kato Liquid Clay, check out Debbie Crothers' webpage www.debbiecrothers.com/

Patricia, everyone else said exactly what I was thinking. Your work is fabulous; it is real art and very inspiring to me. I love the fact that you spend so much time explaining and showing exactly what you did to make your lovely works of art (I could watch your videos for HOURS!). I have noticed that there are some artists who truncate their videos so much so that it is difficult to see exactly what they have done (which may be the point) and it therefore becomes very frustrating to watch. Thank you for not doing that so we don't have to surmise what you did. I guess everyone has a different style; I just want you to know how much I appreciate yours, and the time and trouble you go to to share your techniques.

Wow I love this technique! I have been playing with clay for 4 years and had no idea you could be so methodical with alcohol inks. I’m so excited to try this ❤
Your tutorials are wonderful, Patricia! It seems the majority of pc artists opt to sell their more advanced techniques, which is fine, but I truly appreciate artists like yourself that keep their tutorials "open source". I have only been claying for a couple years and these videos have helped me improve a TON. Thank you so much! 😄 -Dana
