The only extended period in my life when I “woke with sun” was during an old job that I had to get up at 4:30 am for. All I’ll say is that period in my life I was much more spiritually inclined and inspired than since. I remember a part of my drive to work everyday was contemplating the sun and its vast symbology.

Thanks for sharing this. Yeah I cannot say that I have often 'woke with the sun' myself. Though I have an intuition that there is something to Ficino's recommendation. Your story has made me consider trying it. Though I am something of a night owl I confess.
