He claimed to be a Police Officer, failed to provide ID, then claimed he will call the Police; thus, negating his claim to be a Police Officer: ergo, he committed the crime of impersonating a Police Officer, a serious arrestable offence.

LEGALS The moment he stepped off the steps of the Iranian Embassy and told a stranger "he was a Police Officer", he committed a criminal offence. But yes, if he has immunity they are exempt. You must always ask for ID. PS. A car, 2 bikes, 5 armed officers ... for a man with a camera in public. Disgraceful.

I would imagine the Albaian policeman could be argued to be impersonating a police officer. An unwary person could incriminate oneself unlawfully, before the real police arrive and even so, it is a crime to impersonate a police officer on UK soil. It was worth the wait, great photography and interesting interactions

So how many cops come out to a man with a camera? I phoned 999 about an incident taking place locally to me. It rang for 14 minutes, no answer, I put the phone down because the incident was over, I should have said there was someone with a camera, shouldn't I?

The cop said he knew TLA was not going to give him ID, but he had to ask. The clue is in the cops words, had to ask. I think he was just following the busy's fishing procedures directive.

The police officer from Hull was brilliant . You can tell hes got years experience .. they should use him as how to conduct yourself as a public servant to the public.. great officer gives me faith that not all officers are up their own hoops . Great vid TLA west is always best

Police 5 I think sent at the bidding of that clown at the Embassy .Some describing themselves as diplomatic something or other .Yet not one of them could answer a question on the rules or law of a man coming out describing himself as a police officer when they were asked . . A complete waste of time and if they had any brains, all that has to be done is to send a memo/document /rules etc to the embassies of how to deal with photographers/auditors who tun up in a public place and are breaking no laws . . No they prefer running around on motorbikes attending where no law is being or has been broken
