We made the same call on Moraine Lake and Lake Louise when I was there in July of this year for the same reasons. Of course we hit the parks on a Sunday which was a mistake on our part! It is an incredible ride through them though.

I have been to Lake Louise before so I was ok with skipping it. I really wanted to see Moraine Lake though. We were there on a weekday and it was still crowded.

The beautiful scenery in both Montana and into Canada never gets old does it! Makes me green with envy, there's not much like it here in Australia! I hope Joys off wasn't too damaging!

Love your videos. What amazes me most is that nothing gets stolen from your gear. I would be so paranoid. Maybe you have more faith in humanity than I ever could. Take care.

We usually leave some gear on the bikes but we always cover them. Never had a problem with theft.

That Banff Hotel is amazing! What an impressive foyer and I'm sure the rooms are top shelf. You mentioned feeling not well in the previous episode and that reminds me to bring along Pepto-bismol tablets for the occasional gastro upset.

It definitely was amazing. Yes, we were sick but we both had colds. Pepto is always a great thing to have when traveling for sure though.

@@davechavis4275 have u selected a route? I’m thinking 99, 97, 16, 37, 1 to Anchorage. But miss Ice Fields… and 97, 16 look potentially monotonous. Its no easy feat.

I've ridden the Icefields Parkway numerous times but not when Bow Lake is still covered in ice. You definitely would have enjoyed your heated gear for that ride. Can't wait to see the next episodes!

What brand tires did you have for this trip? Did they work well for you?

Enjoying seeing your trip, I’m curious do you make lodging reservations days or weeks before arriving or do you just go to a hotel the day of and see if a room is available? Thanks for sharing

All of our reservations were made just a day or two in advance. When we didn't have a reservation we had a hart time finding available accommodations in most places. I would suggest making a reservation as early as possible.

You should have gone to see Lake Louise . We stayed in the hotel there it was a highlight of our trip . Absolutely stunning .
