Alanis singing about the divine feminine. What could be more powerful than that? This is as powerful as any song of JLP. I can feel the same urgency and emotion from that era but with a total different vibe. Thanks Alanis for sharing such true music in times where people stick to shaking asses. ❤️

This will no doubt touch, guide, and comfort so many daughters who have become mothers themselves, as they look to the one woman for guidance in whose footsteps they’re walking. Brilliant, profound, and perfect.

Joel Mytty, close. I think ‘Diagnosis’ is more regarding her experience of her gran - rather, her struggle. Not discounting their relationship in the slightest! But ‘Her’ is more reflective of her personal struggle with post-partum depression, and literally ‘praying to’ (as in calling upon) her mother. It’s a play on words - like ‘I pray you ... ‘ etc. A kind of pleading. They have a profound relationship.
