That song still means so much. Thanks AJ. Walk softly and carry a big stick. Such an inspiring man ( talented, yet so humble ).
I remember sitting on my couch in shock after waking my husband up to tell him what happened. And i saw it live when the second plane hit. That day changed the world.
My chest still tightens thinking about that day when I hear this song. The Lord was with you when you put this on paper. God bless you in the days ahead sir.

When you write you mean USA. It's s curious mistake, repeated thousand of times, no matter the wing you belong. So that México, Ecuator, etc are not America. Understood.
Don't ever stop singing that song. We love you Alan..

Tomorrow will be 20 years exactly since this tragic day. This song makes me cry everytime I listen to it. I was 5 years old when this happened and I vaguely remember we were getting ready to leave so my dad could take me to school. I'm not quite sure if school was cancelled after that, but I think my mom made me stay that day. Much love to the lives that were lost that day and to the people who lost their loved ones 💔💞💞 My mom loves and plays Alan Jackson all the time so I basically grew up listening to his songs, much respect to you sir! When this song came out she was crying

The hardest part of that tragic day for me was laying in bed that night - praying and sobbing myself to sleep for the poor children whose parents didn't come home to them that night. That was a level of heartbreak that absolutely gutted me. #WillNeverEverForget 🇺🇸
Love This,What a Great Song ❤

Thank you AJ for such amazing song I Loved ❤🌻⚘ 20 yrs. My heart still breaks I never ever forgot no one will ever forget
As someone who is to young to remember 9/11, I'm so glad you realsed and wrote this. Music has always been a way for me to empathize and sypmathize for what other people have gone thorugh o]if I haven't been through it myself and until the attack on the Captiol this year this song was the really only way I could truly understand the many feelings that came from the 9/11 attacks. so Thank You and God Bless Alan Jackson. @/neverforget

Big Alan
We were living in Paris and it was the worst feeling. All I could think was I needed to go home. Then when Mr. Jackson sang this song a short time later i realized what a great country we have, no other country would have someone sing a sing like this. My whole family was crying.

This song is amazing. Glad to see a legend doing amazing jobs 😊
I remember that day so well I was in second grade and my brother was little my sister ended up being born early because of this day My step dad pull out of school. I’m autistic and I am still sad
I was just a little girl during 9/11. Now 24 and this is still one of my top favorite songs by my top favorite singer. So glad Alan decided to write it and record it. Its such a beautiful song. It was one of my go to songs when i found out the school that i graduated from hired a new Band teacher that hates our armed force after having an amazing Band teacher prior to her that not only loved and supported our armed forces but was also a member of the army.... Everyone of us band kids loved him, he was fun and supportive and cared about all of us. He did so much for the school and made our band the top band in the county.... But he was taken for granted and people started expecting to much from him. He had a wife and two beautiful little children that he hardly ever got to see because he was practically living at the school.... Finally a year after i graduated he quit and went to a different school. It made me so sick to find out that the new teacher refused to let the kids play March America and other patriot song that was a school tradition during the memorial day parade because "there wasnt enough time to learn them" and instead made them play a happy go lucky fun time love song..... Which the kids refused to play and made her look like an idiot when she turned to have them start playing and they didn't budge. The whole thing was just an excuse not to play patriotic songs because every single one of those kids have played those songs more then 100 times and most of them didnt even need their music to do it. I was so proud of them for standing their ground and doing what they knew was right. That I spent the whole day listening to the same country patriotic songs including but not limited to Where were you when the world stopped turning Courtesy of the red white and blue Have you forgotten American soulder Made in America And that day those beautiful songs that didn't used to make me cry made me cry for hours because i never thought I'd see the day that school would hire someone like that. If you don't like our beautiful country and hate our troupes then you may have been born hear but you sure dont belong here. As to the question "where were you when the world stopped turning?" I was in a hotel room in Talsa Oklahoma wanting to watch Barney with my little brother and two older sisters but nothing was on the tv but the 9/11 attack. Rather i remember that from my own memories or from hearing the story so much from my mom and oldest sister i do not know but it doesnt matter... Because on like most of the so called americans, I will never forget and I won't let my future kids forget it either. God Bless you, Alan Jackson. I was a big fan of yours for as long as I can remember and to this day you are still my favorite singer/songwriter.
