Aladdin Is Still My Favorite | Ravenswatch Solo feat. Dragon Hide

Ойындар

Armor is feeling really good right now in the game and this build let me not care about damage early on in chapter 3. #ravenswatch #nightmare #aladdin

@@positive4ce i could be wrong but i think the metal is the only thing he doesnt regenerate. theres a funny, old youtube skit where people pay a doctor to "get wolverine powers" and the doctor says wolverine has two powers: healing factor, and adamantium skeleton. they chose the skeleton/metal claws without healing factor cuz they were broke haha. adamantium is basically unbreakable so he shouldnt need to regenerate it, but i believe he can only regen his organic biomaterial

Tankaddin strikes again! Seems like the game really favors tough builds... maybe a problem? Too easy to get unkillable AND do massive D? Master Thief being fickle made it still exciting. That call-out on Raven CLaw was great!

Haha yeah you recommended this so I wanted to try it again and wow armor is strong. I think Aladdin is a good character to do this on because you can boost your damage and crit through wishes so you don't really need to worry about the face cards too much for damage. But yeah that is tough with how quickly this became unkillable, because I don't think nerfing green armor or dragon hide is the soloution because they're still pretty niche choices, maybe the diminishing returns or armor just need to be a lot more at higher numbers

Yeah, just got done with a full armour Gepetto run that ended my losing streak. I had tried to get a lot of squishier builds going, but keep dying to silly stuff. It was still my second fastest 3rd boss kill with Gep, even though it was near unkillable. I feel really disincentivized to go glass cannon at all, and having to learn better positioning etc.

@@torpor8652 yeah it’s tough because I don’t feel like they have a lot of items that encourage the “glass cannon” playstyle with damage compensation. Oni mask is the main thing that goes into that playstyle (along with witches broom and fast walker boots but I don’t see the purpose in taking these in 99% of runs). And ogre blood + horn of plenty is so reliable and there’s no downside to hungry grass. Hopefully there’s something in full release that builds into the glass cannon role

It was really satisfying to stand in front of the boss and not care at all about the damage done to me until I could kill it

Maybe it's very different when you actually play the game yourself. But I have looked at many videos of this game. And I really want to love it.. But everytime, I think the combat looks a little dull, and boring.. I mean, curse of the dead gods, had great combat, where every hit felt impactful.. I'm not getting the same feeling, when watching Ravenswatch... Perhaps it's just me

@@reeanimationgaming1034 Yeah probably just you. The thing is unlike CotD you can get busted here and it's easy to do so for experienced players. So, errors looks like less punishing than in CotD, and they might be but the combat system is great and not that easy at all. Also I think the replayability in Ravenswatch is sooooo much better than CotD it's very very easy to sink multiple hundred hours in. Thus making you a god in this game. I have 350h myself. PositiveAce might have at least 300h in. For reference I finished CotD with around 60h or so. So if you are watching this level of play it will not translate at all to you playing the game.

@@reeanimationgaming1034 Yeah I agree with the previous points, CotD is more punishing overall to me, but I think this game succeeds a lot in it's replayability. There's a fun learning curve of learning to run the map, getting quicker clear speeds, and finding what talents synergize well
