They'll still win 11 games this season, yet it will be a failure. That's how know they are still the standard on college football. From Louisiana, I was obviously happy with the result of the game but didn't expect it....and I think Alabama feels the same. But herein is the Alabama dilemma.....they have been so good, and so dominant, for so long, that the team, coaching staff, and fans feel that the invincibility of the crimson tide is a 'given'. People tend to forget that nothing lasts forever. As an outsider, we feel that Alabama as a football team has worn a chip on it's shoulder for so long and that they have a 'winner's permanence' attitude, meaning that they deserve to be number one, even though they often don't deserve the accolades. It's kind of a 'smugness' or 'superiority' that the rest of the SEC sees coming out of Tuscaloosa that makes us football 'lightweights', well, happy, that Alabama has to finally do some honest and serious soul-searching. Pride is the biggest sin of all....

Hey, I feel for him.. winners just hate losing and it’s a hard one to take. He sounds deflated and maybe a bit tired with the same’ol, same old predictable questions. Was NOT expecting this win, hoping alright but not expecting. Fair play to JD whom, I have to admit, I doubted early on. He accelerates like an electric car - [that’s a compliment]. AND it was the narrowest of loses at the very death of the game clock. Truth is, Kirby and Scott Cochran was the backbone of the dynasty. Not a Bama or UGA fan but UGA is the new Bama. Bama is not supposed to be this soft especially on defense. The LSU qb td run in overtime, Bama players got pushed around on the blocks to spring him open. Never seen them ever get pushed around like that and Tennessee receivers blew right by them. UGA is the new Bama in my opinion.

Nick is not perplexed about anything. He is thinking and planning about next Saturday. How do I get the players up for the next game, what will I need to do to get my coaches up. He is talking about one subject and thinking about another. Nick started his rise to greatness when he was here at LSU ,and he took us from mediocrity to the top of the mountain. He is the greatest college football coach in the history of the college football. I'm an LSU grad who was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, so I couldn't be any more happy about the win for my alma mater, but I can't help but feel a little bit sad about Bama's loss.

No excuses for Bama- they recruit and have all 5 stars and should win every game- so it comes down to coaching

You have to DEVELOP the recruits as well, noob. And guess what? That hasn’t been happening

Bama has no reliable big, carry 5 defenders for 5 more yards Running Back or Star receivers. Brice and Gibbs are the offense. Bama defense not the same. I think maybe Cochran was the reason Bama was more mentally tough and had more of a killer attitude during his time at Bama he was the #2 guy there.

I think he heard LSU LSU & looked like he wanted to smile and wished he would have Stayed !
