The players are the makers for sure. But we have to give it up to the BAND! You can’t experience LSU without the LSU Fighting Tiger Band. They always put the cherry on the top.

I just have to say how much I enjoyed the simple broadcasting announcer's style. It was like taking a step back almost 50 years to when announcers JUST CALLED THE DAMN GAME. No banter. No nonsense. No ridiculous "sideline interviews" that get plastered over what's actually happening on the field. Just simple, honest, play by play announcing. What a treat man. What a treat! Thank you. (And it goes without saying that 'Bama losing is always a treat!!!) And what a gutsy call by LSU to go for 2. I was screaming: "NO! NO!" And LSU didn't listen to me. And didn't blink. Great play call and great execution. Suck it, 'Bama!

@@stephendileo641 It was my first time watching SkyCam so I don't know who the announcer was. But there's no way he was 'Bama's guy. He was calm and reserved throughout the telecast, until LSU scored in OT then converted the 2 point conversion. I thought he was going to have a stroke. He was yelling and hooting and going out of his mind with joy. It was cool. (Since he didn't actually have a stroke.) 😉 I just loved the fact that he called the play by play and then was quiet. It allowed me to just focus on the game and not get distracted by a ton of irrelevant stuff. (I hadn't watched the actual game so it was all new to me.)

@@jso6897 Most excellent. Thanks for that. I remember back when David Woodley was a QB for the Dolphins the network experimented with having no commentators for one of his games- all you heard was the PA announcer. It was absolutely refreshing to not hear all the irritating banter of the commentators. Sadly, they stopped it there. I'd pay extra to not have those guys distracting from the game.
