He's already made one huge mistake. DeBored met with Robinson and refused to consider granting Robinson play calling duties, in spite of the fact that Robinson had been calling plays since the Texas game. Now, Robinson has left to join UGA and now Bama is trying to lure him back. Bad start for the new Alabama head coach. He better not make too many mistakes. Kirby Smart does not suffer fools..

Great hire! Like Florida hiring the outsider Urban Meyer and LSU hiring two outsiders Nick Saban and Brian Kelly.

If I were sark I would be annoyed because DeBoer has beaten him twice already and now he’s gotta deal with him at Alabama.

But the job was offered to Dan Lanning first and if he had accepted, Lanning would be the head coach.. and DaBored was originally the first choice...got ya

I think he will be great and if he stays almost 20 years like Saban, he will come close to his record.

Dan Lanning had too much of a bye out not only a buy out but millions just to talk to him,thanks to Nike. So that wasn’t going to happen.

DeBoer was never the “4th choice”… Stop acting like this man is an unknown. Get outta here you clowns.

He beat Dan Lanning and Oregon 3 straight times. He beat Steve Sarkisian and Texas 2 straight years. He's 25-3 in two years at Washington.

I wish Deboer had the integrity to stay at UW like Coach Lanning stayed in Oregon; or Coach Sark stayed in Texas but he got tempted by winning the lottery(Alabama) and had to go. I understand he is an ambitious person. I know Alabama is the peak of anyone coaching in college; but damn, to leave like that. Less than a week from your team losing the CFP. It’s like finding a new model fiancé a week after your Wife passed away. You leave your old kids at adoption so you can have a fresh start in your new wonderful life in Alabama. Good luck coach, I mean Deboer. I won’t pray for your success but your humility. I hope you regain your integrity back someday like coach Lanning or Coach Sark. It’s the way he left. I wish he called a team meeting with the Huskies team first. Make an announcement on the NW news then go. Not leave in the middle of the night. Land at Alabama. Already agree to it. Meet the Alabama staff at a welcoming party. I am upset because he said yes to Alabama before he said goodbye to us :(

Saban has "every right" to hang around the program and "get on players' butts" from his office? How do you figure he has the "right" to undermine the new coach? If he has every intention to do this, he should have stayed on the job. Saban retired, he needs to leave and the athletic director needs to ensure DeBoer isn't being undermined by his predecessor whose ego won't allow him to let go of his former status as the Alabama head football coach. Good grief, he earned the "right" is an asinine take.

Newsflash:........Nobody cares about Alabama now that Saban retired. It's OK to stop talking about Alabama now. Michigan won the title by the way. And Notre Dame is relevant again Just letting you know

😂 I haven't heard anything on any channels about Michigan since Saban retired. It's all Alabama because the Bama haters are so jealous. By the way, a 9-4 Dabo beat Notre Dame yet again as did lousy Louisville. Bama only lost to a playoff team and the national champion by 1 play.
