What is he doing that is exciting?

I truly hope Coach Debo and his staff can help Milroe figure out how to better read defenses, get thru progressions, and find checkdowns! Also stop trying to prove himself a pocket passer and pull it and run when nothing is open! Stop staring down the #1 read and taking sacks! So many receivers and checkdowns were wide open last season and just missed! Elite receivers will not come to Bama if they cant get their catches!!

You’re talking about things first year guys typically struggle with, it was Milroe’s 3rd year in system and now he’s learning a completely different one, he has no advantage over the other qb’s also learning a new playbook

Milroe has to win his position to be a starter. Every year you have to prove yourself in on field competition. This is the system.

Kalen Deboer will start the QB that gives the team the best chance at success. Whether that be Milroe or not.

If the best quarterbacks gonna be number one it ain’t gonna be Jaylen Milroe

There are more 5 stars in the secondary than most teams have on their entire team. They will be fine.

There shouldn’t be a competition, Milroe is the best qb on this roster

How do you know hes better then mack or anybidy this isnt the basic vanilla offense like last yr. Milroe couldnt make intermediate passes last season..

@@brandonjames6797 Based on what we saw at the usf game, Ty Simpson is not better than Milroe but he’s still good and he most likely will start after Milroe is gone but Austin Mack as a true freshman most likely will not be prepared to play in the sec just yet

@@noahauthement7169 You’re judging Ty based on his first real action as a freshman? If we judged how good Milroe is based on his first start then it would not be very good at all. We have no idea how much each QB Will improve from one season to the next and we have no idea how each of them will respond to new coaching. Competition is a good thing, just let it play out.

@@noahauthement7169 also austin mack is not a true freshman hes a redshirt freshman meaning hes already had 1 season in deboers offensive schemes. If milroe wins he wins no issue here but again this isnt tommy rees pussy offense anymore

If they were in last year’s offense you could be right, but Milroe, Simpson and Lonergan are learning a whole new playbook, Milroe has no advantage going into spring, Mack getting mentored by Penix for a year in the offense is a huge advantage

Yes on the QB competition. But not who most think. That is just "How Good" and Special one of the young guys really is. And BTW....This Secondary room is FAR from being full. They will add at least 2 starting caliber Backend guys after the middle of April,even with all the Terrific,but young and inexperienced,guys we have.

I hope that coach will play Justice Haynes (another Derek Henry) more than Saban did. Bama would have been the champ if he had played him more against Mich when Bama was ahead. QB will not be the, Justice will be no.1 star of Bama this year

Aint no QB competition milroe the best QB on Bama roster yall need to stop this bulls**t. We almost lost to UCF and jalen didn't play 1 down. Ty is hurt if he gets sacked 59 times same with Lonergan. We don't beat UGA, Auburn, Tennessee, or ole miss without jalen but yeah keep thinking those other guys are ready

After the Michigan loss Saban said they could’ve avoided half the sacks if they adjusted protections, Milroe still didn’t know how to do that, not gonna be a high school offense this year where you put best athlete at qb and make it up as you go. The qb that can run DeBoer’s system will start
