One of the most impressive and oppressive debuts in early fg history. And gave him a status that was never shaken and diminished, for 30 years. Actually that status maybe became stronger, to the point of him being picked recently for a historical crossover on Tekken 7 (and not a poster boy like Ryu or Ken).

I think it might be time for a new Art of the Raging Demon video once Akuma drops in SF VI! I think I recall a homage in Mighty Gunvolt Burst

For viewers who are curious as to how Akuma is doing the Raging Demon in this footage: If I am looking at this correctly, this is some of the cleanest footage of Super Turbo for Matching Service that I have witnessed on KZread to date, the Dreamcast port is heavily underappreciated by today's standards and without it we wouldn't have Ten Akuma as part of the roster; it wouldn't be until Ultra Street Fighter II that Ten Akuma would technically return as a playable character in some iteration of Super Turbo in the post¬Revival Era (in this case, he is now reworked into that edition's Shin Akuma) and for all intents and purposes he truly is uncontested in his capabilities and power (09I% Health Loss on Raging Demon still gets to us sometimes, and that is before inducing handicaps), it truly is welcoming that he has remained in the franchise for north of Thirty Years now and wishfully we will witness him take on plentiful other IPs outside of Capcom and Namcot to present to existence that he is the warrior to defeat (Akuma for WWF/E, Smash, or Virtua Fighter, anybody?).

Super Turbo became 30 years old a couple months ago, so this early(sh) 2024 timing for Akuma's release was well planned. And perfect if a bit earlier.

Reminder that he's the only character banned to be picked in this game in tournaments. He really is just that good.

Akuma did not have a super when he first appeared that wasn't until the home port of the Dreamcast version!

No. The first Marvel and Capcom game was X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, released in 1996. Super Street Fighter II Turbo was released in 1994 and was his first appearance.
