This seems very contradicting. How can akkermansia be a bad thing? I have zero akkermansia in my gut and I have so many health problems. High imflamation, allergies depression, autism, ringing in ears.

I think the benefits of Akkermansia supplementation far outweigh the risks. Both Thorne and Pendulum use the strain Akkermansia muciniphila WB-STR-0001 and searching the internet I don't see any complaints.

So by taking Akkermanasia can you develop MS? We should not risk it by taking it then- correct?

Maybe our gut flora isnt supposed to be static. Maybe our bugs have to be kept in check through a system of reset and renewal. Changes with the seasons?.....Lets say that by having to many gut bacteria it desensitizes our immune system and not enough bugs over sensitizes our immune system ...Is there a balance? Is there specific types of bacteria where we can promote their growth year round without the unwanted effects? So many variables...

Of course a manufacturer will want you to take their product every day year round. It could be that taking it a couple times a month and then promoting its growth naturally (fasting and the right food intake) keeps them in check. Maybe the bible has some clues with its fasts? As long as our health system is controlled by big money we will have to continue using word of mouth and tip toeing through the mine field to find the answers.......Lets remove the establishment politicians first. You keep voting for the same criminals and you will continue getting the same corruption....................TRUMP2024!!!
