True meaning of it takes a village to raise a child...the whole community became her spelling coaches...very heart 💓 felt movie..will surely tug at your heart strings...

At the end her mom is like "your still doing triple the chores for lying your way into this thing"

*I can't believe her whole neighbourhood helped her learn, the love that can spread is infinite. I'm so happy for Akeelah AND her neighbourhood, they all made it through that tough bee.

Like the karate kid but with spelling. But this time both the black and the Asian kid won.

Am so happy that she won I was crying because she won good jobs God for letting her wind.

This movie is really emotional, it made me remember my struggle back then in school, where everyone in my class has high IQ and it was very heavy for me, but later on in university level I flash back and understand my mistakes.
