Akala is officially my role model.
Knowledge is power.
Im glad that Akala is talking about this stuff. but noone seems to talk about how racism effects Black women in Britain
You should check out a phenomenal book entitled 'Yurugu' by Marimba Ani. It absolutely blew my mind!
I have a big admiration for the way Akala critically thinks whilst maintaing an opening mind to subjection
Akala drops the best knowledge
So much love for this man right here...really! Amazing thinker..very encouraging as well
Intellectual juggernaut. Noetic points raised, respect.
The most rebellious act is being educated!
Good Interview!

Thanks! Could you possibly recommend any books on philosophy also? I'm merely a layman on the subject and finding it hard to grasp the basics. I know I might be coming across as an imbecile, but i'd appreciate it if you had any ideas. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

it is just crazy, that it just doesn't came to the mind of the guy, to let the interviewer-girl speak again..:)
It's not luck Akala. You're wrong there. The reason some make it and some don't, is because the some that make it, develop certain attributes and abilities, that allow them to have greater influence over others, and change their circumstances. Don't label it as blind luck, or chance.
No. Slavery started years before colonialism and imperialism on the African continent.
Haha it's hard to find a major government or nation on this planet that isn't in some sort of debt.
wow. that crowd sucked!
