The MasterClass in rap
"better than no one on this earth, and I know I'm not. But I refuse to play small just to fit in your box" - 10 years later and the issues still remain the same. Akala changed lives when he brought his lyrics to surface.
Big love for Akala man. Man knows his shit. Leading the way all day. Nothing but REAL TALK!! Don't just hear...listen and comprehend...How he comes up with his shit is simply mind blowing....KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!!!
who are the 149 mugs that disliked this? this is real hip hop and rap. preach akala.
I *received* inspiration from this guy in 2010. In 2015, I'm still inspired by him now, if not more

David Oko what's wrong with it what's right with it look at the views and then look at talented artists like devlin Akala mic righteous etc get no where near the views that a guy gets for standing in a park repeatedly saying shut up
2020 and I had to come back to this legendary F64
one day i will blaze with this man. rare to find rappers with a degree of real intelect like this. guys a genius...seriously
Akala is brilliant, and yeah this is so refreshing. I am sure we have all become fed up of MCs talking about how much of a 'G' they are. These fake hood videos with rented Mercedes, BMWs and Bentleys. All this whilst they still live on a council estate, and we are supposed to buy into that shit? Come on now.

OMG he is so good cant stop watching I. his lyrics are just out of this world
Knowledge is Power!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Akala is the most intelligent and informed and underrated rapper/MC I have had the pleasure of hearing no one since immortal Technique has a rapper really had something important to say , plus his sister can spit bars with the best
real talk I only just seen this 5 years later. my man ain't getting enough exposure. mad talent still
His flow is so awesome but it's his message that makes him epic, big up dude
the three realest rappers are Akala Lowkey and English Frank

I'd say the realest are Logic and English Frank. Akala is sick too is too much on that Black Nationalist/Afrocentric thing. While I agree with what Akala says I prefer the class struggle/''peoples army'' thing that Logic and co talk about.
Best rap I’ve ever heard. Found Akala less than a week ago can’t stop listening.

I second to that.
been near 4 years and this is still one of my fav F64s...
I have met Akala he came to my collage for a session for 3 hours or so to talk and he is so intelligent and knows a lot about our British history and Mayans, Egyptians and so on serious look into him.
2021 still amazing 🔥🔥🔥
I saw this guy live a few years ago....he legit blew my mind
Akala's legacy still lives on....
This guy was so ahead of his time. Just like all true hip hop. Timeless revolutionary music. Dumbed down by the industry.
Dats a real G right there!!! Big up!!....
Listening in 2019, and I feel it's more relevant now than 2010.
This is hip hop pure and dimple truth
the flow and lyricism is effortlessly just great!!!
Love this, his commentary on the lyrical subject matter, meanings and purposes in the rapping of what seems to be the majority of rappers nowadays is just so true and to the point
LOL, that last bar tho
Huey...killing knowledge.

amazing rap skill with real meaning behind it. Akala is the man. Inspirational. Peace from Australia
It’s currently January 6th 2021 and almost every bar is relevant to today.
Really wish someone like Akala got signed to Rhymesayers,

Mans been hitting harder than any other artists for 10 years
FInally hit a Million and deserves triple that. Nice to see progress still being made nearly 4 years after release.
We need more rappers like his, he has flow and talks about hings that everyday people can relate to, unlike 99% of other so called MC's out there.
Needs to be more rappers like this guy. pretty much summaries everything wrong with most rappers these days. Him and Lowkey doing it properly!
legendary had me doing all sorts of research afterwards
I've listened to this several times. I've shared it several times as well. I think if everyone who listens should share this with at least one person who doesn't know about Akala. This alone would make this world better
"I'm done with the lies, third eye open wide!" too conscious xD
Raaa, the first bar was hard and set the tone. It's a shame more musicians don't pump the same message or kids would actually be different nowadays....
literally the most intelligent musician of all time. that's not my opinion that's an actual scientifically proven fact. changed my life when I was a kid. I was a lost kid responding to my environment in all the wrong ways. Akala took all my built up anger and sadness and showed me where it should of been directed. crazy that he's had such a big impact on my life and subsequently everybody else around me and he will never even know my name.
Man this brings back memories, first ever mentor made me listen to this track and changed my whole perspective of life. Age 12 I believe...
Goes in real talk rapper big skills and profound words
Akala is so underrated! Thumbs up if he needs to be more recognized!
Akala=GOAT 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love the message here. It still amazes me that there aren't more rappers out there who truly feel like this. Bristol won't seem to lend itself to this much real. Not sure why, people can't transcend their egos maybe.
almost 7 years. feels like yesterday I heard it

Fire.
I'll never understand how Akala isn't more respected and well known than he is, lyrically he's on another level.
Still goes hard 11 years on
Akala, Lowkey, Logic & Righteous top 4.

Stunning. Him, Mic Righteous, Lowkey and Logic are bringing up the UK. Immortal Technique, Canibus and Hasan Salaam for the U.S.
Akala is a true inspiration the world needs more like him
