Dec 2017. Fuck where have I been, why have I never known. Feel lost and like I've missed out big time. Found this top man on fire in the booth part 4. I'm only 1year younger than this amazing artist and I'm starting to want to learn and discover. Happy day today. Not guna stop until I've told as many people about this genius.

Akala has blown away the whole UK Grime and Rap scene. No one comes close to him. Creative genius. Talent, style, flair, intelligence and powerful important insightful messages. He's up there as one of the greatest rappers of all time. Better than 99.9% of the US Hip Hop movement. He's untouchable. He may not be the most famous, he may not be the most known but its possible to be the greatest MC ever to take the Mic. Does ANYONE think there is anyone better? . . . . . . . I'll wait.

Immortal Technique,& Lowkey are the only ones who hold a candle to Akala...slightly different styles as they have an anger(over the same kinda issues) that Akala doesn't harbor in the same way. I thought I'd never put another emcee in front of Tech, but Akala took my #1 spot gracefully+ eloquently.

BTW as I write this: -White American(Irish, Polish, Czechoslovakian) born,& raised in New Jersey -36yrs old -Married w/3kids(all born from my wife) -Trade skill worker(soldering circuit boards/wire/cable) Align Conservative by 2022 standards, but I personally consider myself very liberal (but not to current "woke" standards). A few drinks in on a Friday~felt relevant for perspective.

The way each song makes me think of not only the content, but the period of my life when I first heard it. This man has been a constant in my life and I am ever grateful for that.

You can almost hear the sands of ancient times rolling through each track.

Man... I remember when I heard him for the first time 6 years ago. Listen to all of his albums and was SO impressed. I can not believe he hasn't earned due attention yet. Maybe 50 years later people look back and realize what kind of talent was missed.

I swear this is like the soundtrack to my generation at some point every one of the tunes got banged out whilst growing up 💯🔥🔥🔥

I remember hearing akala for the time in like 06-07 his flow and lyrics blew me away, I lost touch with his music and last year with all the madness with the riots I started to listen to him again and wow this guy has evolved above any uk m.c, instead of becoming a seriously typical rap artist he choose to educate himself and pass that knowledge on not just in music but in lectures, this man is such an inspiration to me, listened to most of his interviews and watched his lecture and I can honestly say I am far more knowledgeable of what the white supremacist have done too the black community, I assumed Egyptians where not black because of what we was taught in schools and now I k owe what he means about social conditioning, I grew up the first ten years in a dump and when my parents move me to what i see as a middle class area i was years behind other kids at school and i was treated differently because of that i was seen as the dumb ruff kid from the estate, they treated me differently because my parents was young really young and that hurt bad so I rebelled against the system I was a grimey kid I regret some of it but not all, AKAL REACH OUT MAN YOU HAVE OPENED MY MIND AND I AM JUST ABOUT TO PURCHASE YOU BOOK PEACE OUT YOU ARE A WARRIOR FOR US WORKING CLASS AKALA FOR PM ✊✊

One of the tracks of my youth, I remember Channel U kicked off and me n my friends got sucked in. So many amateur artists came about, including Akala. Wasnt just good music, it was an education. 16 years on and I still listen to Akala, shame Taz dropped out of the lime light. Another brilliant lyricist.

Oh my god. Akala is so good. He´s the Shakespeare of rap! You know I´m a metaler, so usually I don´t favor that music.. But a friend said you´re good and holy shit I´m just glad, that I trusted his advice! Knowledge is power my friends.
