Black Emperor songs- basically their album "Yanqui U.X.O" plus a couple other songs....all of which dont have any lyrics. But the one song that always does the job is "Motherfucker=Redeemer".....I think you'd enjoy and appreciate that composure.

The most depressing years of my life included Deftones. To anyone reading this, there is a brighter side to life. Regardless of how dark and grim it may seem.

I grew up enjoying music from kansas, Boston and even some Van Halen. Also add in Deep purple. Check out Child in time. But I also enjoyed the Ohio Players, James Brown and a band called funkadellec. I think Deftones could be for when in that special place, skin with skin of your lover, in a romantic yet eternal night. But at the other day some things happen, some things change. The next days you seem to lose all you had you loved. You start hearing Chino in the background of your mind. Hate, pain, impotence, desilussion... you say goodbye to home. You start walking, you start drinking, you start losing yourself. Maybe you don't really know, allyou can know is khaos, is uncertainty, but, through all this lonely and depressing trip it's always Deftones all you haven't lost, stuck in your head. But... alcohol, drugs, sex... One day you wake up. You wake up. You wake up. You wanna hold another bottle. But you can't. Tears start to flow, pain start to show. Sadness. You can't be a coward anymore. This is the pain you have been denying. This is the sentiments you have been ignoring. "Friends", women/men you had sex with last nights, everybody, everyone, everything... leaves. You are completely alone now. Completely alone. I'm Japanese and my parents moved us to the west while I was in grade school. I hated them for awhile and I hated the west and just wanted to go home.... Then I discovered this amazing band at 14 years old (14 years ago), the first thing I liked and learned to love about the west. They helped me through a very long and hard transition in my life, inspired my love of guitar playing, my passion for art and most importantly helped me find myself in this new western alien world and learn to call it home. They helped make the second 14 years of my life the best half of my life! If there was a perfect playlist of selected Deftones songs, this is it! Thank you!☺🤗

@@mattyriddelltarot3277 Thank you! However, my post does not say people in the west are bad. I had an amazing life in Japan. If there was a perfect life, I had it. Amazing loving relatives and great circle of friends, making for the best support network a girl could ask for. Everything was happiness, love etc. With no notice my parents ripped me away from all of that and dragged me to a foreign country, where I couldn't even speak to anyone, for several years, because did not speak English. I had the perfect environment to provide the best and most healthy upbringing, mentally, physically and emotionally. Taking all that away and putting me into a lonely cycle of school that I didn't understand, to lonely evenings at home, for several years, was not a good thing, or a mentally healthy thing. It leads to issues. Anxiety, depression, borderline PTSD. Nearly 2 decades later at 29 years old and being engaged now and my parents still apologize. In Japan there are American military kids going through the exact same thing I went through. In an alien world where they can't speak to anyone. That was longer than expected, but I just want to give perspective. 😊

If Rosemary is not played at my funeral, then my ass is not dying.

Definitely check out all their albums like adrenaline and around the fur and white pony. Every single album is gold so you can't wrong with any of them. My grandfather passed away on Christmas Day 2021, and this past thanksgiving, I started to really miss him, I was crying but ran out of tears. Friday, I was all alone in silence with no one to talk to, I almost took my pills again, to feel nothing, my suicidal thoughts came back, I was so upset I had no one, I wasn’t in a good mental state. Xerces, Cherry Waves and Entombed are probably my top 3 favs on here.

This mix takes me back to 2018, best friends still alive, my favorite dog still alive.. passing out on opiates every night. I miss when times were simpler. Here’s to still trying to fight these demons that want me. Much love to this beautiful amazing fan base

This band saved my life and keeps me going.

I threw this playlist on and just laid back.. Stuck in my head, thinking how I fucked this up and pushed her away, i havent cried in 5 years and I think I finally broke down, hearing myself cry, feeling the tears shed down my cheek, feeling so weak but at the same time staring into a void, tunnel vision, everything's just noise. I feel numb and when I put this on I feel some sort of humanity, I feel human, I feel better. But I know when it ends I'm back to those same empty thoughts. I don't think I've ever felt this low and empty. I hope one day I'll be able to think back on this chilling moment and just smile. I'm trying so hard. And it never feels like it's enough. And in a good way, I found room to improve. Just right now I need some time to myself. I'm leaving this here so I can come back the next time I feel this way, I wanna see how far I've come just looking back.

Wow.... Spent many years on St. Croix - always on the water snd at the eastern tip was some land that belonged to the Kennedy’s but never Ised. We’d stay out there for days, skin dive for Conch and throw them on the fire and catch a few fish or any kind to eat. Those memories and that sky you speak of I’ve seen many many times from the top of the East Side’s (Christensted) highest peak. From that height you can see the wind on the water as it bends waves around the eastern edge. Too many incredible memories of sailing the BVI as well, surfing Tortola. This is all that comes to me still after all fo that. And those memories are from 1979 to 1985.... crystal clear. A short trip from NYC. Thanks for the prompt. Be well and enjoy every moment.

I can’t explain it but deftones music is very different from all the other music I’ve ever listened to it makes me feel some type of way.

Having an extremely rough day with depression. I just want to scream and fight and claw my way out of it, but I'm frozen. Deftones is perfect though. Not necessarily a sedative, or an enhancer. Basically just right.

This song changed my life on a subconscious level. Accidentally left it playing all night on repeat while i was asleep. Woke up a different person the next day. 1:14:05

Deftones is one of them bands that you can’t help but feel so cuffed by, like i feel like i want sex, happiness, i feel angry. nearly every emotion you could think of. like your dying but your living. So so soooooo love them. sleep to them, sing to them, dance to them. you can do ANYTHING. i’m getting ‘stay with me as we cross the empty skies’ tatted on my chest, my collar bone anyways. they saved me, / and people say that to be dramatic but this band genuinely SAVED my life. Changed me as a person. I fucking love deftones, forever will.

The Tones are my #1 absolute favorite band of ALL TIME, have been since I first heard them back in 96 when I saw them play with Korn. I was only 14 at the time but even at that young age I knew I was hearing something truly special. I've also never met a Deftones fan that I didn't love. So if you like the Tones, you'll always have a friend in me & I love you my brothers & sisters.

One of the most well, thought out playlist that I have come across. Having newly come into the Deftones sphere, I had been looking..trying out other play lists..but this one..simply fine..like aged wine. Thank you for doing this.
