WHAT A COMPLETE BALL ACHE OF A PROCESS!

Unbelievable contortions just to get everything ready... I got my mpc today and spent all day trying to get everything up and running. I-lock wont accept some key codes ... back and forwards between sites, back and forward downloading all over the place. The system needs to be streamlied. One click FFS. Also, hell knows how I get content expansions.. I bought a couple to get me going and they are not showing in the Inmusic registration zone. It's a joke.

yea, man. im im the middle of doing this right now and its a pain in the ass. but im getting close. hopefully its all worth it.

Could you make this any more complex??? I thought this was for musicians not for computer programmers 🙈 totally crazy!!!

This video already seems out of date. I just purchased an MPC Studio Mk 2 and tried to install the software today and instead gives me the MPC Studio Software Manager. Unfortunately something seems broken in the activation process as the Serial/MPC key provided doesn't activate the MPC software

Should add, InMusic Support were quick to address this and all is working fine now!

After reading the comments here I was absolutely terrified to attempt this and yes it does seem an incredibly complex way of doing something relatively straightforward, but somehow I managed to do it😊

I’ve had enough of this Akai has truly messed this up I’m thinking of trying something new the whole process is so long and complicated, it’s killing my vibe to even want to make music, any suggestions?

thank you for posting this, this whole System is a joke. I first got it took me all day to get it shut up couple months later I get a new computer and back-and-forth. I lock an app Kai and I don't have a file for that file for that. It's taking me a week to get the app on my new computer. It's almost enough to make me go somewhere else

Had the Live 2 about 2 years ago and sold it. Just bought a used studio mk2 and a new computer, however my old computer is done for. Will it be possible to dowload my old software yo the new computer for use with the studio mk2?

cant get synth content on windows 10 im not sure what to do it doesnt pop up.

Had the Live 2 since release. Never used controller mode. Just got Stems, it will not connect to controller mode. It says the drivers are out of date. What? I’m on version 2.14 on both the software and on my Live… Where tf are the driver downloads??! I can’t even use Stems.

Akai is such a headache. I got my MPC professional 11 years ago and there were so many issues with either the serial number, or using the MPC application and I contacted them for help and they never got back to me and I was never able to use it until today and there were still issues with the MPC application and not having any samples in it so I can’t even use it still. After 11 years!!!!!

what are the guidelines for installing the driver in regards to having the hardware connected? Normally manufacturers are very clear that the device needs to be disconnected and connected at a specific timing of the steps??

Hi Johnny! Your MPC hardware does not need to be connected to your computer at any point during driver installation.

hey, im using a Mac OS. I can't find the get Syth content, could you help? it doesn't appear where you have said they are. how would I find all my plugins.

I am in the same boat. F Akai! Been trying to do this since January and gave up. Now tonight trying it again and Synth Manager does not exist in my software. WTF Akai!

Ok, I have been trying to figure this out since January. I have an MPC X SE and I followed these steps all the way up until it says SYNTH MANAGER. Synth Manager does not exist on my 2.14 software, nor on the previous version. PLEASE HELP. I just want to make music.

Brother I am literally doing the exact same thing right now. Lol. I'm like wait wtf is this shit now... I'm thinking maybe they changed how it's set up, so it's maybe integrated into one of the other programs? Idk man this was much more complex than most setups that I've ever done lol

It is also under the Activations tab under Preferences in the MPC Program. I hope this was somewhat helpful

@@Skizz_Missive Nope, that is exactly where I am having the issue. My fabric, Organ, OPx-4, Stage EP, Stage Piano, and Studio strings all say get trial. No options to activate them. When I click it says you've already exceeded your trial period.

Do I have to do all this? I just got my MOC for Christmas, I just wanna make beats.

I see this demo is 2.11. I loaded 2.12 and none of these options are in the installations process. Probably me, is it in another folder? lol

software is for you computer. Firmware is for your mpc, or both?

Crazy how to complicated is that setup , it's a nightmare , that's waste my time.

This is the biggest bs ever! I just paid $2500 for this new instrument and have been trying to get this activated all weekend long. Makes me sick. I should have just bought an mpc 3000 and I would have been making music by now!

Same problem :/ I think the newer MPCs no longer come with the software, we need to buy it... Which is very sad if true :(
